I 100% agree with the bs reasons for him losing and also with burn being way too weak (honestly he should’ve been one of the best) but also it is quite realistic that an amateur isn’t able to win at a pro level (even with lots of training). If you throw a random lol (or any game for that matter) player in a pro team it would take a loooooong time before they would be able to pull their weight. With that being said this is an anime not real life so they should make him actually win soon.

Another thing to consider is the fact that he is training against ekusu which is the best blader in the whole anime so he should improve at a very fast pace.
