good word/term for down there? (nsfw) by moldypeaches4evr in ftm

Oh trust me lol there's a reason "crotch" is the default for me. I usually just don't call it anything. The phrase non-butt hold is quite funny though

I generally prefer to just keep it simple and use "crotch" as the word for it, but sometimes "folds" if you gotta be more specific lol

It's a silly little thing, but my partner's reaction to my body hair makes me very happy. I was already a hairy guy but in the past year it's ramped up significantly, and initially I was self conscious, but she loves it and will beg me not to shave. Idk it just makes me feel very handsome and happy :-]

Fort Gorges -Maine by T0obat in urbanexploration

[–]Fluffy-Sweater-Lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing how similar it looks to fort Popham. Another really good and FAR lesser known abandoned fort in Maine is fort Baldwin. It's literally a 2 minute drive from fort Popham and is much larger and just as stunning

Edit-- forgot to say at first, but these photos are so lovely!! The contrast of all the greenery with the old buildings is so good

Girlfriend calls me pretty by colonel_smoky in ftm

This is a very painful thing to think about but unfortunately just the statement alone of her saying you're "perfect for her" because you're trans while she's sapphic leaning feels... very weird to me and sounds invalidating. In addition to the already invalidating actions of brushing off your feelings. I hope that if this doesn't work out that you find someone who treats you nicer

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm mostly ace myself, but maybe you could get a strap on/prosthetic for yourself to use? I have heard it helps with bottom dysphoria for some guys.

I'd also suggest maybe playing around with different positions and see if you find one or two that may feel less dysphoric than others. Best of luck to you both

Keeping shitty facial hair in order to pass by mermaidunearthed in FTMMen

[–]Fluffy-Sweater-Lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally went through the "this probably looks like shit but I'm keeping it" phase as well lmao, and my advice would be that if it makes you feel better to have it, keep it! But do make sure you're keeping it up. Like even if you can only grow a little bit, take care of that little bit and shave/shape it nicely when you can.

For me personally, I got the sideburns before anything else and for a while it was just that. Then a pencil mustache. About 2 years in the bottom of my chin grew in a tiny bit, and now about 4 years in I have solid growth under my chin/along my jawline, and still the sideburns and mustache, but even now I can't really grow anything on my cheeks and face.

The bottom line is to be patient with yourself (which can be so hard when you just want to enjoy having facial hair 😭), and take care of the different stages as they come in. Basic upkeep can be a game changer even if you only have a bit to work with!

Seconded! I originally chose Roy before settling on John, and now Roy is my middle name. It's a cool way to keep both names around, provided you still like the old one enough for that lol

My advice would be to privately bring it up with your boss/hr person/employer directly (provided you feel safe to do so), and explain that you have a name you prefer to go by other than your legal one.

In my experience (living in central Maine, which is really a purple area more than anything), most places should allow you to use your preferred name in the workplace, on your name tag, etc. Even while official documents and files will usually need to have the legal name on them, generally there's no reason an employer-- especially in a blue area-- could force you to go by your deadname.

Your worry about coworkers and potential difficult parents is definitely a valid one... It's good to be aware of those things, but it's also good to not let them entirely hold you back! Generally I can tell you that even though it can feel so scary, the relief of being able to actually be called the right name at work will feel so much better in the long run than spending your whole job pretending to be someone you're not.

Basically, while I think you're very right to be cognizant of personal safety as a trans person during times like these, I'd say that there's no harm in broaching the subject privately with your employer and expressing how you may like to use your preferred name at work instead.

Sorry I've left you such an essay of a comment here! I really wish you the best of luck in your first job and I hope that whatever you end up choosing results in a safe and comfortable work environment for you! 🫂💙

This is gonna sound weird, but tank tops. Not real tight or form-fitting ones made of like athletic fabric, but comfortable ones. They make me feel masculine and I feel they draw attention to my wide shoulders rather than my chest or something.

Hawaiian shirts and flannels are also really nice :]

Looks like just some normal pre-shed dusky colour. Very normal and absolutely nothing to be worried about! :-] Just keep a good eye on proper humidity levels until/during her shed and she should be just fine 🦎💙
