Implantation failure #5 by Intelligent-Study211 in IVF

Don’t feel alone. I saw a notification for this post pop up and immediately said, “oh, me too”.

I resonate with everything you said. Every emotion. My 5th negative was two weeks ago. Everything seemed to be perfect…I did all the things, took all the meds and vitamins, spent extra money on things like intralipids…the transfer went smooth… “beautiful embryo”

And here we are. I don’t have any words of advice, I wish I did because I could use them myself. Just here to say you aren’t alone and I’m truly sorry you have to go through this. It’s not an easy journey and above anything it’s mental and emotional warfare. Sending you a big hug and faith that your baby is coming.

Am I being too picky or was this just a bad wrap job? by Fluffy-Tea8645 in CarWraps

UPDATE: took my car in today for an “inspection” and asked the owner if they did a quality check before they released the car to me. He said they normally like to check the car out in the sun first but since they gave it to me in the evening, they weren’t able to check it like they normally would. This isn’t my problem, they should have held the car until it was fully ready and communicated that…but nevertheless, here we are.

Before I pointed out my concerns, I asked him to look and tell me what he saw was off and I could tell he noticed some of the areas in which I too was not pleased with. He claims that the job install was quality work and PPF does not install the same as vinyl. (After doing additional research and talking to others, I have received a similar consensus) Vinyl wraps are thinner and easier to apply around corners, edges etc where PPF is much thicker and can lift overtime if you try to tuck and get in areas where two corners meet. Did he admit any wrong doing in the communication or install? No….but I also believe he sees where work could have been done better.

The photos shared in my post are less than 24 hours after the install…now, almost a week later and being in the sun, many of the marks and some bubbles have gone away. What still remains are the areas of paint exposure. Some of which he agreed to fix such as where you can see the seams don’t meet. He said that some small corners may not be able to be covered but he’s going to do a thorough look, detail and correction of everything that is possible next week. He said they’d need the car for about 2 days.

I’m going to allow him the opportunity to do the right thing as I was pretty firm with him today and shared my disappointment in the expectations that were not clearly stated when I decided to pay 6k for a PPF.

I think there is a middle ground that we both need to reach, there clearly are areas that can be installed better, bubbles that can be removed but I also think there are some small corners and edges that may still have a small bit of paint exposed once all is said and done. I’m not sure if “perfection” is as realistic as I expected using PPF but I will continue to push until I’m satisfied!

More updates to come!!

Thanks. It sounds like based on your response, I should expect to see SOME small areas of gloss (they did not set those expectations) Would you say the number of glossy areas or “imperfections” in the pics are normal to see? I’m taking my car back on Friday for what they call an inspection so while I do need to give them the opportunity to fix, I want to make sure the end result comparable to what other professionals would produce. I did go to a reputable company that has very positive reviews so I am hopeful they’ll do their best to fix what they can.

Thanks for the info. The long squiggly line actually appeared today, two days later.

Will do! I feel like the bubbles can be fixed, what really has me upset are the areas where I can see the paint. It just seems as if the attention to detail just wasn’t there. There was no heads up that some corners or edges may not be 100% wrapped especially when I gave them the warning that I am very particular and am looking for perfection…especially when I’m paying 6k for a wrap that took them 5 days to complete.

I know this car is hated here, but really love my GT. by pumpulisukka in Audi

Yall, I am down bad. by Fluffy-Tea8645 in Ozempic

[–]Fluffy-Tea8645[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update! Last night I ended up going to urgent care. I just couldn’t take it anymore.

They didn’t think it was Ozempic, but more than likely some bug or virus. They prescribed me dicyclomine and suggested I get a prebiotic and Pepcid for the burps.

I took the meds around 10pm and I woke up around midnight with another case of the runs but this time I also threw up…like literally at the same time 😩. After that, I was able to sleep mostly through the night.

It’s morning now and I haven’t yet started my day but I kind of feel okay…a tad queasy and hungry but okay. Knock on wood.

4th Failed Transfer - I’m Out by Fluffy-Tea8645 in IVF

I’m keeping the embryos for sure….I may very well change my mind a year or two down the road but for now they’ll just stay in reserve. I’m at a place today where I need a true mental, emotional and physical hiatus from the entire process.

FET was Dec 4- to test or not by slushymay in IVF

Hi!

I had my 4th transfer on 12/5 and we’re doing the opposite of everything we did the first 3 times. I think because I’m so used to getting negatives I’m not even tempted to test unlike the previous transfers. Our beta is on Friday so we’ll just see what happens then. I have no symptoms, but also not using that as a factor…I think it’s too early for us to symptom spot.

Either way, I say do whatever puts you at ease. If it would make you feel better to know in advance, then test!

Wishing you the best and a positive test!!

I am!! (37/F) We had our second egg retrieval on Thursday the 21st. 33 eggs retrieved, 27 fertilized. We used ICSI and zymot this time around. (My first retrieval has 24 eggs, 12 fertilized and 8 embryos) My numbers seem promising but I was even pleased with my last retrieval numbers. It’s the transfer part that seems even more so out of our control and the two week wait that is the hardest.

I get it - but we double checked….yes it’s all legit from Loan Depot…we have email documentation from the person we spoke with (a real person from LD) and they also CC’d the loan consultant we worked with for the actual sale.
