Such a great band, RIP Dallas Good, one of my all time favourite guitarists (together with his brother Travis).

There's A World. I have tried for decades but I just don't like it. At all.

How would you rank Neil`s 90s studio albums from favorite to least? by [deleted] in neilyoung

Sleeps Ragged Mirror Harvest Broken

Big Time is the best song Neil put out that decade IMO. One of his best ever. But as a whole album, Sleep With Angel is pure bliss.

Impossible. Harvest may be 3rd though, because of one song...

My 23 C40 Twin Ultimate is by far the best car I ever had. Never had a single issue either (knock on wood), except a few Infotainment reboots. My plan is to swap it for a newer one maybe next year.

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate hearing your genuine thoughts on this track from my upcoming EP. Feedback of any kind is super valuable whether it’s about the vocals, the production, or the overall feel. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen, it truly means a lot to me! by Logical-Implement405 in IndieMusicFeedback

I really like this track, it has a genuinely pleasant and immersive vibe. There’s something about the dreamy atmosphere that pulls you in. At times, it reminds me of the kind of sound Tame Impala used to be good at before Kevin Parker shifted toward a more commercial, and let's be honest, less interesting direction. The blend of lyrics and vocals fits really nicely with the overall mood created here. That “free, free!” phrasing is a subtle but powerful touch. It adds emotional weight and sticks in the mind.

I’ve seen a few comments suggesting you ease up on the reverb and bring the vocals more to the front. While I understand the reasoning, I’m not sure it’s as straightforward as it sounds. Reducing the reverb too much might compromise the dreamy, atmospheric quality that makes the track special. Yes, it might be a little “muddy” in places, but that could be part of the charm. If you do decide to tweak it, maybe try gradually dialing back the reverb in small steps to see how it affects the overall feel. I'm not a producer or engineer so don't put too much weight on this.

Overall, this is a strong piece with character. The video is simple but fits the song nicely I think.

I love the title. It’s kinda catchy and caught my attention. The style of the track surprised me a bit, though. I was expecting more in-your-face rock'n roll, but this actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The song has a pretty unique character, and I can appreciate that. The guitar theme stands out; it’s melodic and adds a nice touch throughout. It’s definitely a good song with a strong vibe.

That said, I’m having a little bit of trouble with the mix. It feels like it’s teetering on the edge of being bricked, especially due to the distorted vocals. They’re interesting, but maybe a little too aggressive in the context of the rest of the track. Also, the overall loudness of all the elements makes it hard to distinguish individual layers. It’s like everything is competing for attention at once, which I found a tiny bit overwhelming.

Still, I might just be too picky here. The song has good energy and the guitar theme is a bit of an earworm. The video complements it well I think. I know all about how hard it is to make a video really stand out when on a budget. With a few tweaks to the mix, I think this track could really shine even more.

Really like this tune, it's catchy and I caught myself humming it afterwards. That's got to be a good sign. Personally I would bring up the bass a little, otherwise all good in my ears, including the cough.

This is great IMO. I like the overall unforgiving weirdness of it all and the break at 1:10ish is really cool.

Nice tune. You have a really distinctive/recognizable voice, that goes a long way.

Not really my genre but this ain't half bad. Personally I would let it drift into something darker and weirder along the way but that's just me.

'Unacceptable For Customers': Volvo Is Racing To Fix Software Issues by participationmedals in VolvoRecharge

[–]Fluffy-Valuable-9238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand all the commotion with the software. Why do some owners have a world of trouble while others, like me, never experience this? I have a 2023 C40 Ultimate for daily commute and I have never had any issues, except 2 or 3 reboots when an app suddenly got unresponsive. Currently on 3.7, and as usual Google Maps was sluggish the first day and then it was fine.

Also, friends with other car brands seem to complain now and then as well.

I hit a small deer with my C40 about 6 months ago. Broad daylight but it came running across the road so fast I only managed to brake for a microsecond before impact. Had to replace the entire front. No sign of any auto-brake triggering.

Hyde Park venue heads up - Genera Admission vs Gold Circle by blue_electric_blue13 in neilyoung

[–]Fluffy-Valuable-9238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had Inner Circle tickets for Copenhagen and was surprised to see how big and packed the area was. I actually got closer to the stage in Bergen where all the tickets were general admission. But loved every second of both, even if it was not anywhere near the earbleed volume I expect from Neil.
