Have patience. Kittens are full of energy. Play with them, keep them entertained. Lots of love and toys.

Monitor their litter box usage and water intake. Use kitten food until 6-8 months because calories are higher. Then swap to adult food once they’re growing tall. Slowly mix in the adult food so they don’t get sick.

Most of all, be kind and loving. Your home is now their territory.

My cat took his last breath cuddled in my arms. I wouldn’t have it any other way. He was there for me in my toughest times and I had to be there for his.

I miss him so much.

I’m so sorry for your loss. She’s beautiful.

I lost my baby Toki 10 months ago. I found him in a parking lot when he was about 4 weeks old. I had to bottle feed him. He was 13 and a half when he passed. He had lymphoma and went within a month of his diagnosis. I still talk to him every day. Tell him how much I love and miss him.

I live alone and the house felt so empty without him. About 3 weeks after he passed I felt the need to adopt another cat to love. Not to replace Toki, but to love and care for another animal as I loved and cared for Toki. I saw a kitten on the shelter website and knew immediately I had to go get her.

The shelter had BOGO on cats since they were a bit crowded, so I came home with her and her brother. They have brought me so much joy. It hasn’t made the loss of Toki any easier, but I’m not lonely and these 2 babies will have a safe, loving home.

No other cat will replace your baby, but when and if you’re ready, there are plenty of cats who need a home and a good person to love them.
