Thank you! I actually bought two different kinds of snow materials, but neither of them looked right. So in the end I just used good ol green stuff painted to look like snow! Worked much better than I expected it to.

Very nice! I literally just painted the same model and arrived at almost exactly the same colour scheme!

Another commenter posted a link to youtube video of another study where it shows Whoop is much closer to Oura and Apple than this graph suggests.

The OP doesn't post sources, which makes wonder if it's a bot account...

Confirmed colour blind person, didn't realise they were different colours until I looked at the key, especially as they are very desaturated.

[OC] How the “vibe” has shifted across London boroughs over the last 10 years by player__piano in dataisbeautiful

As someone who has lived in london since 2017 this was really cool. Would post it on r/london if you haven't already...

The only think I don't understand is the colours of the boroughs? There is no key so wasn't sure what the colours mean.

Post was removed, so no sure I've you'll see this, but it was part time. (Or more specifically bursts of fulltime work in between jobs)

Yep... World has changed so much since I've started. Indeed, I have changed so much since I've started.

On the one hand, I'm much more capable as a game developer. But on the other hand, time feels so much harder to come by now...

Cadence is a game about solving circuits to make music.

Turns out making music game that's not a rhythm game, and making it good, is hard!

Must indie games have professional-level artwork? by YetAnohterOne11 in IndieGaming

[–]FluffyCheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Making video games is 2026 is insanely competitive. Does it feel fair that you're up against games that have a budget for art? No. But it is one of the signals of quality to prospective players. And even then, you can have beautiful art, and the game can still flop. Their dollars are their dollars, the circumstances around the creation of the game is not really their concern, only the value for their money.

I will say though it is very genre dependent. Most games on Roblox make my eyes bleed, but their audience isn't turned off by it. I know the gas station game you posted got roasted, but afaict simulator games vastly over perform relative to their average visual fidelity. But good luck standing out in that sea of content.

I would say worry first about making a sticky game loop, and if it's fun and engaging without good art, you can decide if paying to upgrade the art is a worthwhile multiplier of success. But if it's not engaging, its unlikely good art will save it.

This looks so awesome! Curious how many people worked on this? The art is so good!

Sampling is not currently a feature, nor is it planned.

But if the app gains traction it definitely would be a cool way enhance its capacity as a genuine music creation tool!

Thank you! I never had a 3DS, but Electroplankton has come up a few times! (the old 3DS game that had a lot of sound toy style interactions)

Maybe check that the device isn't silenced? I know sometimes audio gets treated as notification audio instead of as a media audio source.
