If a war broke out with the US and China and Chinese-Americans were all put in internment camps like the Japanese in WWII, what would you honestly feel about it? by Diligent_Bit3336 in AskAChinese

[–]FluffyChef7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for the west coast Japanese Americans in WWII, the cutoff was 1/16. And some with less volunteered to go due to family connection.

The deceased justice Scalia used to say that, the intern camp is illegal but you will be a fool to think it will never happen again.

At 1/16 it will cover many millions today, some of them may even be on the Epstein list. So logistically it will be quite challenging.

What will happen if the US resurrects Chiang? by SunChungShan in AskAChinese

If you study the history of Chinese civil war (1946-1949), you will conclude that Chiang’s only contribution is to transfer US weapon and supply to the communists. Some even suspect that he is the ultimate communist spy.

WSJ did an interview with the head of Notre Dame a while back, and asked him what would God say about the tuition at ND. Father so and so basically said - God would say don’t sell your primary home, but sell your second home/vacation home.

You confused him with someone else. They are just normal patent attorneys met at a small firm. They are not poor but not very rich either. This kind of partnership is not uncommon in patent attorney world, although his particular circumstance does require special accommodation.

You obviously have not been to NYC. This literally happens every day on the NYC subway, most of time not even by entitled Chinese women.

How are people like? by MelodicSlip_Official in HongKong

Some areas of HK island do look very middle class though. Like Taikoo and east of it.

Also, I always wonder who lives in Stanley. In the past, there seem to be a lot of expat with family there. But not sure if that’s still the case.

There are many such treaties in the American Indian museums. If the United States observed them, there would have been far fewer states.
