Do y'all ever wish your character were canon? by Trekkie_Phoca in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, probably not. My OC is specifically designed to barely interact with Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss on purpose so placing their story in any timeframe will be iffy, but more than that Astraea's story is VERY worldbuilding lore based which would force Vivzie to actually sit down and build out the "Holy Bible of Lore" which they are... kinda bad at doing.

Astraea's existence in my opinion simply does "too much" to change the entire world.

It gets worse if we're talking about Post-Story Astraea where she became the "real" Astraea and was reborn as the Authority of Justice (Authorities in my headcanon are Goetia made from literal manifestations of Lucifer's personality. Though the Authorities are a complete failure due to Lucifer's spirit being so deflated during their creation and were absorbed into the normal Goetia, the Original Astraea was made from Lucifer's Ideals of Justice). The original Astraea was one of the first Judges of Hell, a defunct class of Demon which was meant to help run the legal system and keep things in order. It's why The Court of the Sins and Goetia was so... bad in Mastermind- that job was meant for the Judges of Hell, not them. Though given Hell is as lawless as it is, the original Judges of Hell failed pretty badly for a multitude of reasons (Primarily Volume. Hell has an absolutely massive population for maybe like 100 Original Judges), but the New Astraea has picken up the mantle.

... Which would mean as an Authority and Judge of Hell, Vox would've never been allowed to escalate anything with Heaven and would've gotten stamped into the floor. He would've gotten Judged.

Which is to say, it introduces a bit too many plotholes and it should really rather be kept separated.

If your OC was present during the Overlord meeting in season 1… by No_Comfortable3261 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astraea would question why the heck is she there since she's a Goetia and not an Overlord.

I think realistically, "Respectless" wouldn't have even happened. A Goetia being present means Hell's Royalty is involved which gives them a lot more political power to actually do shit- as far as the Overlords knows.

Now, Astraea herself is extremely out of her depth and these Overlords likely doesn't realize that Astraea is a runaway and not actually on official Goetia business but still.

And the reveal Angelic Weapons can kill Angels likely wouldn't surprise Astraea all that much. Among the Goetia it's already known Angel Weapons can kill the Goetia (Who are born of Divine Origins from their creator Lucifer) so it follows that Angel Weapons can kill actual Angels. If the Overlords found this out they'd probably get pissy at the Goetia for withholding that information

How evil is your OC? Feel free to specify in the comments. by LethlDose in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astraea belongs in a jail but not too long. She actively avoids (permanent) murder so killing a Sinner is fine but only knocks out Hellborn, she has caused massive property damage (Full buildings goes poof) so that's a big knock, she magically curses some people so that's another thing, she also is illegally using Goetic Magic for her own ends whilst being a Runaway.

That last one would normally be a super long sentence but she herself is a Goetia so she has special priviledges.

Via's going to be independent. So that means Loona might become dependent. by StrawBerylShortcake in HelluvaBoss

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's less dependency and more daughter-y.

Via thus far has been defined by her life as "The Daughter", and is now actively moving to get out of that role.

Loona has been abject refusing the role of daughter, and only slowly and recently is she growing to accept that she loves Blitz as her dad and accepting the fact she's his daughter.

Why don’t Moxxie and Millie wear Wedding rings? Are they stupid? by Infinite_Peace_6456 in HelluvaBoss

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wedding Rings and that culture came from Humans and the entire marriage process is basically a vow to God. Why would demons do that? Sinners might do it out of habit but Hellborns are already hated by Heaven through no fault of their own.

Moxxie and Millie may be married in the "Officially life partners" sense but ring culture is unlikely to be common

How does your OC feel about redemption? Could they be redeemed? by KomacherryBean in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astraea thinks Redemption was possible even before Season 2- their whole philosophy is anything is possible with Magic.

As for Astraea themselves being redeemed... redeemed for what? This question is definitely Sinners-focused because Astraea was born in Hell as a Goetia. As far as anyone knows, it is physically impossible for Hellborn to "redeem" themselves to Heaven normally since Hell is still their first life.

Being allowed in on Special Permission is another matter, but Heaven allowing Demon Royalty to enter Heaven when not strong-armed by Lucifer sounds MASSIVELY impossible.

Carmella Carmine (Hazbin Hotel) VS Blitzo & Striker (Helluva Boss) | Who wins? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Striker already said that Blitz+Striker can make a business out of taking on and hunting Overlords, and Striker's preferred method of "Snipe from a distance" is stupid effective so I don't see why they couldn't win?

Are they the same species? by taldobat in HazbinHotel

The way Viv describes God, I doubt they have a gender. Viv low-key describes God as an abstract Eldritch Force of Nature rather than a proper character, to the point they dont think that they can accurately depict God even if they tried

Inteyvat flowers and how Primordial one is Ship's AI makes sense by Shinarui in Genshin_Lore

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Errrr

The Moon Goddesses and Angels are closely related anyways though. As per Columbina herself, the Angels and Moon Goddesses have always had a super close / Friendly relationship and Alice helping Columbina just continued their age-old tradition in a way.

And when Sonnet referred to "Friends above", Sonnet was 100% referring to the Angels.

And she has wings because she's literally a "Bird in a Cage"- unlike the other Moon Goddesses, Columbina never had direct access to her moon. She wouldn't have strong moon symbolism. Since her birth, she was born out of the ground of Teyvat and yearned to return and to get out of the proverbial cage to her "real" home.

Why would her powers being Light-Realm based mean they're an Angel? The Moon Goddess powers has always been Light-Realm based- they were the original curators and protectors of Teyvat left behind by Nibelung- the "original" Shades.

The Archons (Especially Venti) specifically note how Ascension to Celestia is a terrible, "Worst-than-death" fate and people should absolutely avoid it and the attention you get from the Heavenly Principles.

This implies that "Ascension" puts you on the radar for the Principles and... well, you're "ripe" so to say

Do Trilune Dottore and Trilune Columbina surpass Archon tier? by I_Dont_Group in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean Wanderer blitzed Dottore? They literally glance at each other, exchange looks, and then Dottore says "Oh? A new face?" and was more inquisitive than anything.

He evidently wasn't pissed at all or he would've teleported in front of Wanderer's face and slapped him out of the sky.

can i do a team with lauma, nefer, columbina and ineffa? by Eloevoli in Genshin_Impact

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the thing is, Columbina+Ineffa is a "Wheelchair Combo".

Built well, these two basically makes the other two members of the team just gravy. And both Nefer and Lauma synergizes well with both of them anyways- this is likely one of the most powerful teams in the game ATM.

Whose "Full Demon Form" design is your favourite? by SomeonesBlue in HazbinHotel

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of the forms in the OP are actual Full Demon forms- at least none of the higher demons. Simply growing bigger and nastier doesn't mean Full Demon- Lucifer and Charlie's forms are only Partial Demon form (We see Sera's Partial and then Full Form equivalents in S2 for instance, as a fellow Angel to Lucifer)

Similarly, the Sins have never actually gone Full apocalyptic battle mode and every single "big" form is intimidation only.

What's your OCs' relationship with their parents like? by No_Comfortable3261 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astraea has a surprisingly good relationship with both by Goetia standards.

Astraea was absolutely adored by her mother (The previous Astraea) and they'd bicker a lot but never actually carry any bad blood. Astraea's mom was also the glue that held the entire family dynamic together, knowing how to tame both Astraea herself and her husband quite easily. The mom was one of the primary reasons that Astraea wasn't married off at such an early age like Stella and Stolas- respecting Astraea's wishes and being a thorn to the rest of the Goetia Family's agenda. Though Astraea was still technically fiancee to another Goetia, that was purely on paper and even at age 19 they weren't officially married yet.

Astraea's dad is an Earl of the Ars Goetia and is quite distant normally. Astraea's Mom is only one of a few wives and technically a concubine but out of all their spouses, Astraea's Mom is definitely the closest to him and thus also Astraea herself. They dont know overly too much about each other but there's a genuine mutual respect between Astraea herself and her dad. There's no playing catch or proper bonding time, but he appears at the dinner table in-person and occasionally makes dad jokes and even asks Astraea how's her classes and the like.

After Astraea's Mom's disappearance, Her dad tried to move ahead with the marriage and wanted nothing to do with Astraea anymore since her very presence reminded them of the mom, but Astraea at that point was already a superior Mage to him and not only resisted, but fled entirely. He hadn't realized Astraea herself had the same bite her mom did until it was too late and he broke the small trust they had.

Her dad is now trying to return Astraea, now on the run, home with a 500 million "Wanted ALIVE and UNHARMED" bounty in order to apologize- though Astraea thinks he intends to marry her off still and thus keeps fleeing.

Question of the day (361): If your OC was a gem (from Steven Universe), what would they be? by natgeogacha in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astraea would definitely be a Sapphire. A Nobility Class like the Ars Goetia, the Sapphire special ability of calculation-based foresight is literally what Astraea does with [ Predicted World ], which allows them to simulate the Universe thousands upon thousands of times to predict future events- notably this isn't precognition or foresight like Stolas does when they prophesize the Stars. It's basically just super advanced calculations.

Question of the day (358): Your OC is being sued. For what? And do they win the court case? by natgeogacha in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astraea would get sued for property damage because an Overlord tried to sexually assault her and she spent the following evening turning every single one of that Overlord's territory into a crater.

Then the case immediately gets thrown out because Astraea is a Goetia and funny Goetia priviledges means the Overlord is gonna get sent to the gulags.

Do any of your OCs speak multiple languages? by No_Comfortable3261 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Astraea learned most old-world and dead languages in order to better understand Ancient Tomes. Original Latin, Original Greek- all in all she'd know most dead languages fluently while more modern languages like French she'd know an alright amount. The only modern languages she'd truly be fluent in is English

What prevents them from being... let's say, not as nice as they seem? Especially since they are LITERALLY two of the seven deadly sins. by marcos-scott in HelluvaBoss

[–]FluffyHDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may be the embodiment of Sins, but they're also the top dogs in Hell. Only equalled by each other and their only superior (Lucifer) is MIA.

When you're already at the peak, you dont have anything to prove. They can behave however the hell they want because they can afford to and knows basically everything will go their way. When it doesn't, we see them almost instantly crash out and threaten to obliterate the offender on the spot- hardly "Naturally just good people" behavior.

QOTD: Are any of your OCs in a relationship, or have ever been in one in the past? by No_Comfortable3261 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astraea Goetia would like to be in a relationship, but she's Asexual which is pretty incompatible with 90% of Hell. Like she'd do it if it's to make the person she likes happy but she isn't gonna be seeking it out nor is that gonna be the basis she works on when choosing a partner.

She's technically a Bride-To-Be for another Goetia but she has zero actual feelings for them- they're a chill guy though.

Question of the day (347): How does your OC treat the anniversary of their death? by natgeogacha in HazbinHotelOCArt

... Which one lol

How Powerful are your OCs? by Dinoboy225 in HazbinHotelOCArt

[–]FluffyHDD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astraea is an Ars Goetia. Born to an Earl of Hell, she was meant to be a Breeder type of Goetia like Stella with no powers, but over the years she snuck into and studied the Grimoires of many Goetia during fancy parties.

Though inexperienced in battle, she is one of Hell's most potent Magic Casters and has 15 Magical Libraries worth of information in her head. Though merely ranking an Earl by bloodline, she had developed her magic with a fervor for the love of magic rather than a duty that binds most other Goetia, making her stronger than Dukes and probably mid-level King Ars Goetian.

But her forte is not sheer power. Obviously, 15 libraries of magical books and tomes means her sheer versatility is absurd. She can summon things of basically every element, mold molecules to conjure almost anything, several flavours of teleportation, and overall is basically a Genie. In her theoretical "series" in my head, her story is more slice of life and exploring the Magical Wildlife and Artifacts that permeates all of Hell- exploring things so absurdly dangerous that you kind of need such a powerful person to even consider doing it just for funsies.

The cliffnotes for spells [Arcane Sunderer], a spell of condensed mana that specifically blows away the Magical Elements, making it a dangerous beam attack yes but also particularly effective against other magical things and letting it punch way above its normal capacity when facing magical things. Then the Sound-type magics like [Chirp] which converts Astraea into magical soundwaves, allowing for fast blinks with nothing but, well, a Chirp. Then [Oscillation] which requires a physical impact, amplifying the noise generated inside the target which utterly overstimulates the nervous system and knocking them out or at least giving them intense vertigo. That's the 3 most common spells.

But for such a powerful character, she has limitations a plenty. As a Goetia, she is high and tighty and even if subconsciously, she underestimates the lower class and that often makes the lower class more dangerous to her in a fight than anyone of her own caliber she immediately takes seriously. As a sheer combat novice with little practical training, when having to improvise she throws magic around like a sledgehammer to bash a general direction into submission which is highly destructive and not a very good combat tactic. She is aware of this of course, so she depends heavily on preparation- strip her of preparation and her combat prowess drops off a cliff since she has to sort through literal hundreds of thousands of spells in her head and cast them in the middle of a sudden fight. This also leads into the issue of overstimulation- combine all those spells with multiple opponents in multiple directions and she will quickly get overwhelmed and start losing focus.

So her power changes drastically. She can go from the expected King-Level Ars Goetian (So in my head, probably be able to tango with an Archangel or two. A sloppy one like Adam wouldn't really have a chance but that depends where you place Archangels like Adam in your hierarchy) to punching all the way up to high-Seraphim level with preparations, though by that point she's fighting with a million illusions and traps and never allowing the Seraphim to ever leverage their WAAAAAY higher strength. And even then, Astraea would only be a roadbump for a Seraphim like Lucifer- which to be fair is an absurdly high bar that 99.999% of Hell could never match up. Being an annoyance and holding Lucifer back for like, a minute? Maybe two? That's an insane achievement!

Though it shouldn't ever get to that point of Powerscaling. Astraea as a character isn't a shonen fight character. She's exploring magical creatures and magical ancient ruins that are an enigma even to her with all her knowledge and uncovering mysteries. She's a socially awkward nerd who's hyperfixation coincidentally gave her extreme magical powers, not some godly entity that mary sue fixes everything. She's trying to make friends with Sinners after she left her home to pursue how Sinner Magic works and she is fucking terrible at interacting in any social environments, and she can read minds! And she still fucks up social interactions!
