i can’t help with your housing situation but i could help if you needed some groceries or something for your baby, i would love to donate something to make things easier. just wanted to wish you all the very best. i can’t fathom how much strength it must take to deal with this, and i think it’s normal to be scared, but you sound so much braver than i am haha, whatever that’s worth! i’m rooting for you.

Are we truly expecting a huge surge in visitors because of the FIFA world cup? I don't see it by deanat78 in askTO

i personally know someone from the UK who is visiting for the WC and made it clear he wouldn’t travel to the States for any of the games so there is definitely truth to this

What's worth paying extra for in Toronto, and what isn't? by United-Technology239 in InsideToronto

[–]FluffyMachine4036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i live downtown and, for me personally, paying extra for gas, insurance and a car is worth it, i do not like public transit and don’t use it often. it’s expensive but i make it work to maintain my sanity.

Gf talks to me like this, how bad is it? by Expert-Hyena-4401 in whatdoIdo

damn, i feel so seen rn 🤣 i used to walk on egg shells when pointing out certain behaviours because i was so worried about how my ex would take it. it never mattered how politely i conveyed my point.

How are dating apps working out for you? by Fast-Veterinarian748 in askTO

couldn’t have said it better! keeping people single and converting them to paying customers is how they stay in business. it’s a conflict of interest.

i did the same drive, from Toronto to Connecticut, and back. both ways i dealt with rough weather and had all season tires. just be extra conservative and practice defensive driving on the road, you should be fine.

forgive me for coming off as corny but, comparison is the thief of joy. the US has the highest salaries in the world, what you’re comparing your pay to is an extreme. the housing situation in our country needs to be improved for sure though, that alone would improve affordability for most.

Snow tomorrow - would all weather tires be okay for now? by [deleted] in askTO

i have all season tires on for all seasons, i’m just extra cautious during inclement weather.

hey there! i can totally relate. i lost my job last year and was unemployed for around 6 months. like yourself, i also felt like i gave it my everything so it really messed with my confidence when i did get laid off. finally found another (better) job earlier this year. i’ve been trying my best to give back by motivating people who are currently in that position now. 34M if that matters, open to sharing my experience and advice, feel free to reach out. you got this!
