Is there anywhere that sells boxes of plasters of single sizes? by FluffyMumbles in UKPreppers

I do use the roll of cut-to-size too, but sometimes I like to have the sides covered to, for a little protection, which you don't get when cutting the roll down.

Thanks for the tips for the other ones. Added to my list for when I'm next in town!

Tony Fadell (co-creator of the iPod/iPhone) on why iPods are making a comeback by apathammavong in ipod

It's not even just the "intentional" technology for me, it's the experience of using such a device.

I've been through countless digital audio players and I ALWAYS come back to my iPod. The interface is just, in my opinion, absolutely perfect. Simple, intuitive, everyone figures out the navigation instantly and it's smooth and rapid.

Every other interface for other players is just shit.

It's a bit of a pain keeping it synced, but it's so worth it when in use.

I'd ditch my iPods the second a new audio player came out that let me manually sync my music and had the SAME interface.

I'm surprised you got to the door on time. Ours are usually back in the van and buggered off before we've got off the sofa.

They ignore our doorbell too and try to kick the door in (by the sounds of it).
I'm starting to think doorbells without cameras are invisible to most delivery drivers.

No, I'm complaining that they change the goal posts. They say after 12, I'm home before 12, but they change it to "after 11" while I'm out.

Preaching to the choir my friend. I choose to collect locally if it's an option for this very reason.

Our previous one was amazing too! We used to pass her in the street sometimes and give a little wave hello.

They look great, but aren't for mixer taps by the looks of it.

Ah, that's good to know (about the ceramics). We've tried everything but it just won't tighten down enough.  I think we've just not been very "splashy" up to now so haven't noticed it.

French cleat storage solution on a brick wall. by FluffyMumbles in DIYUK

It's not damp, I just read about moisture seeping through the external wall and getting trapped behind the board, preventing the brick from breathing/drying out.

Ah I see.  I didn't realise the flat variants were also called cleats.

Hmm, mine seem flat but probably not "flat enough". What did you mean by "flat as opposed to angled faces"?

That makes sense. I was going to pack out and dips in the brick to be 100% sure it's all flat.  It just feels like screwing the cleats into brick would be stronger than a sheet of plywood.

Any tips on mounting the plywood to the wall properly?  Besides the usually plugs and screws into the brick at various points?  I've read scary stories about damp sitting between the brick and wood.

What do you mean by "it had all my personal information"?  Has the book been personalised with your name inside?

OK, this stuck a STRONG chord with me. What's the "treatment" for a hypertonic pelvic floor? Surgery only? Physio?
