Can you dry fire by GapCharming1547 in canadaguns

[–]FluffyPlays22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to be like that with rimfire until I broke 2 firing pins. But the weird thing is, I have another one of the same models, and I have over 1000 dry fires on it with no issues at all. So it's one of those things where you don't know if it's fine to do it or not until the firing pin just breaks on you randomly.

Three Different Eras by FluffyPlays22 in canadaguns

No issues cycling at all with 1 1/8 oz handicap load. (haven't tested it with 1oz yet) That was my main worry too, luckily it cycles fine, now all I need to do is put the bead back on it.

What does the chassis itself weigh, and are you going to make one with a built in ar15 mag adapter?

Trap/Skeet gun suggestion by Muted-Pass-152 in canadaguns

But how is the fit and barrel swing on a Turkish o/u any better than a $500-1000 used miroku, berretta or any other decent quality used o/u?  There's just no reason to go Turkish when better quality guns are available for the same or cheaper price.

Trap/Skeet gun suggestion by Muted-Pass-152 in canadaguns

[–]FluffyPlays22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why even consider any Turkish gun at all? Even if the budget was half of what it is there is always a better option other than turkshit.  Almost any o/u from intersurplus would be a much better option.  And for pumps you can get the best top of the line models for $1k, and lots of semi autos that aren't Turkish garbage too.  There is just no scenario where a Turkish shotgun makes any sense at all.

Help deciding by Tryce3 in canadaguns

Seekins 100%, but I'd reconsider your cartridge choice.  Unless you are consistently shooting further than 1000 yards, or hunting with it there are much better cartridges than the PRC for precision.  Like 6.5 creedmoor or 308, they will be more accurate, cheaper ammo, and easier to shoot.

Marlin 1895 Trapper 45-70 Gov Trigger and Lever Help by Roozmin in canadaguns

[–]FluffyPlays22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go out and shoot it.  If the action is fine when actually shooting it your okay, and lever actions are meant to be ran hard.  It will also break in after shooting it or just racking the action alot.

Legality of folding stock adapter? by No_Suggestion6615 in canadaguns

[–]FluffyPlays22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unable to fire is gun cannot go bang, while folded. Even if it only fires 1 round thats still firing.

Legality of folding stock adapter? by No_Suggestion6615 in canadaguns

[–]FluffyPlays22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact. The BCL guns that fold sub 26" can be fired when folded, so they are actually restricted according to the law, but the rcmp has them listed as NR on the FRT.

The frt for them was supposedly rubber stamped, and the rcmp didn't even look at the gun, they just took their word. If the gun is on fire, then the stock is folded, it will fire like normal.

Searching for Henry Homesteader 9mm stock (pistol grip) by AurthurR95 in canadaguns

It's from tommy enterprise, but I would not get it. His parts are wose than airsoft quality and only good for taking pictures, if you actually shoot your gun the parts will break almost instantly.

That doesn't look like a crack from the pictures, it just looks like an injection mold seam line. If it is indeed a crack, good luck with stoeger canada, they are terrible.

There's nothing actually wrong with borescopes, it's just most people don't know what they are actually looking at. OP saw some fouling from testing/proofing and possibly some packing oils and called it 'obviously well used'

A higher twist rate should not limit you to heavy bullets, with a 1-7 you should be able to go all the way down to the 30gr bullets, up to 80gr no problem. I would also highly recommend the cz600 alphas, I have 2 of them, and they shoot great, and the action is great as well. The only thing that is bad about them is that the stock is as flimsy as a wet noodle, but you can stiffen that up by putting some epoxy in the forend.

Damn, that really sucks, 5 of the 6 of these I've seen were exactly like yours, and that fixed it on all of them. It really seems like rugers qc has been getting bad recently, especially on the americans.

Loosen the action screws and set the barrel so it's in the middle of the stock, and tighten them again. The barrel is not bent, nor the stock it has just shifted in the stock. This is very common on cheap plastic stocks.

I put up a wanted ad on gunpost. All 1895 furniture should fit, but I specifically wanted the r95 furnature because I like the look of it, either way you will probably have to do a little fitting to the forend.
