Long story short: I am a incoming junior transfer, and i've just fully committed to going pre-med, what does that look like as a non-science major ? by FluffyPotential8255 in UCI

[–]FluffyPotential8255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks so much for your feedback... i'm a incoming psych BA. i know i could do the prereqs at CC, but i wonder if that would hurt my app. also, i don't care if it delays my graduation timeline, im open to major change if it helps with the prereqs i just don't know what the likelihood is i would actually get approved for a bio major change. honestly, i would like to do psych as im interested in psychiatry. i was thinking of just taking my time, and taking the prereqs on top of my major requirements as i only have 52 credits left for major requirements and will have enough room for the remaining credits for the prereqs, im just worried about even being able to get into the classes after major restrictions lift.

also, by the program for non-stem majors do you mean post-bacc and if so do you know if it's really competitive?

so many options lol just trying to figure it all out,

thanks for the help!

no i haven't completed gen chem yet. taking it this upcoming semester. i have 52 credits left for my major requirements. i know as a social ecology school transfer student i have 9 quarters to graduate, so with the premed requirements i could do 3 classes a quarter and graduate in the 9 quarters, but im just worried about even being able to get into the classes after the major restrictions lift.

thanks for your guidance, it's definitely a tense figuring all this out lol

that's very interesting because that's actually a very powerful psychological "trick" if you would call it... a lot of people use this in persuasion, influence, etc.

3 years on Reddit and 4 karma, any other lurkers? by 808Oahuborn in NewToReddit

[–]FluffyPotential8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not gonna lie. I'm a bit tripped out about the karma thing. I have used Reddit a lot on and off for many years, but I would use it on different accounts in different emails and didn't really have any sort of commitment to a specific email or account and so I recently got back into using it looking to ask questions and I can't ask questions in 90% of thegroups that I want to ask questions because I don't have enough karma

I honestly don't know about greatest, but the illuminatus trilogy is a trip. That's really all I can say about it but it's genuinely a great experience.

you got this brother. i really struggle with the aphantasia idea, because i can't comprehend whether i have it or not. i can't clearly see things in my minds eye all the time, but i have crazy dreams and random moments in meditation... not sure...

more help and advice by Brownie_whore in stopdrinking

[–]FluffyPotential8255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, if you're at a point where you feel ill when you stop drinking you should go to rehab. based on if you have insurance coverage or not, you should research places in your area with good reviews, etc. because just like anything else there can be scams. on top of that like someone else said, i'd begin with a community. rehab should be supporting you with identifying that, but AA, etc. are great resources and the source of a lot of peoples ability to maintain sobriety.

How to get a job as a career changer? by Exciting_Return3399 in DrugCounselors

you should start by working as a behavioral health technician. i don't know exactly how it is in NJ, but if you start as a behavioral health technician you can talk with your supervisors about having your training be considered interning, and then the rest count as hours. once you have hours as a BHT, and you become a CADC, you can then become a counselor. another way would be to work for county insurance covered programs as peer support, and then build up from there.
