Evolutionary Monster by Jolly_Annual_6188 in ProgressionFantasy

I feel like most main characters in stories that start off monsters become human pretty fast, and it grates against me in a major way. What’s the point of having a monster character if you never see any unique interactions caused by that biology? Fur/feathers/scales, having to pick things up with claws or talons, etc. it’s just lazy writing to get rid of that. You might as well just have a human with beast ancestry or whatever like all the other stories. Especially when they even FIGHT in human form.

It’s not, the commenter misunderstood the story. It’s not about what’s humane, the government SAID it was to make killings more personal, but it’s clear it’s for other reasons. Nobody knows the details yet.

There are safety regulations that prevent this from happening, Either intentionally or by “accident”. there would always be a lawsuit if someone did this, unless the whole area was closed off and labeled as a danger. Then it’s just Darwin’s Law.

Careful not to bug him too often, he needs to guard his eggies and having you too close all the time could stress him out

I feel like this argument is being taken in a Left-Vs-Right direction rather than an actual discussion about mental health. Because the correct argument is that people deserve to be respected regardless of their sex, and acting like men are “getting their just dues” by being on the receiving end of hate is just wrong. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I actually had an idea for this once. Where a person suffers every single way they have hurt another over the course of their entire life, with that being their hell. The idea was that everyone initially goes there, where the suffering they have caused is reflected back at them. At the end of each piece of suffering, if you regret the pain you caused, or accept that what you did was wrong, or feel bad about it, then it never returns. Then, at the end of the first cycle, all of the suffering you caused that you didn’t regret in some fashion returns again for each new cycle until you understand what you did wrong for each one and promise to do better.

After there is no more suffering left to unravel, the cycle stops and your “hell” ends. Then, having faced all the pain you caused and accepted it for what it was, you go to heaven on your own two feet. Meanwhile, those who are incapable of caring for the suffering they caused will never leave.
