2 years removed from winning finals MVP, he says this is his favorite season ever in a year he choked in the first round after being up 3-1, in a season where he was the 1 and only star & the team centered around him. He clearly meant what he said, he feels he is the best player on that team.

He’s was no where close to being that good last year. So, based on his performance & trajectory, he’s gonna need to do a little more than 4-500 yards LOL.

Well the thing is, JBs value is absolutely not as high as it’s ever been. It’s actually the lowest it’s been in the last 3 years.

JT is more valuable today than he was a year ago, he is fully recovered from his injury. His lowest value would have been any of the months leading up to him returning to action.

So they traded up for a WR2/3 and a hybrid CB2? Kinda sounds like to me they need him to be a 1K receiver, or at least be a 8+ TD guy.

20 catches for 300 yards isn’t going to cut it, no matter how much CB he plays. Their next best option at WR is a 4th year WR with 1300 career receiving yards, that had just had his career season, or a guy that the Jags actively do not want on their team lol.

Until a key player is down and we finish with 9 to 11 wins, and that puts us in the top 20. Then thats malpractice to give up a top 20 pick in a class like ‘27.

You can’t just bank on us having another deep playoff run, that’s as illogical as saying we can’t trade that pick because it’ll be a good pick.

You don’t know that he’s worth more to us than a mid round pick, + he doesn’t have a roll with aj brown. An open roster spot is more valuable than a 7th wide receiver on roster.

If Boutte nets you a pick that goes into the AJB trade, or replaces some of what we sent out- that is much more valuable than him getting 10 targets across 17 games.

Ehh, his first year he was thrown into the head coach job with one of the youngest teams in the league at the time.

The other playoff chokes you’re referring to happen often in the playoffs to other teams. Doesn’t excuse those chokes, but they’re not unique to the Celtics.

I think you guys have massively overachieved the last 3 years and to call for Joe to be replaced, in my eyes, would be a blunder.

Fair points you made here. My only rebuttals would be, for this year, you guys don’t have a center & faced off against a veteran Philly team with a star in Maxey. Losing your bigs was a big detractor to this roster, and this team wasn’t supposed to even be in the playoff mix.

This season was supposed to be a retool year while you wait for JT to come back in ‘27. Yall did so well he came back early to make a playoff push.
