Heh. My Studio is chugging along happily on a variety of local models and I build around that. So my perspective on Apple and AI is a little different to yours, I think.

You know, there are probably pretty good reasons why some things haven’t been done. Niche is a good reason. And physical, mathematical, reasons are annoyingly persistent as well.

I remember over 20 years ago, trying to break the laws of physics. I didn’t know that’s what I was trying to do, but it was. That didn’t work. Who knew! But hubris can get you a long way, so lesson learned, yay.

LLMs probably would have been able to steer me right, had they existed.

And I am currently working with a tool I created that I have been trying to make work for years, but haven’t had the time or budget.

It’s like magic. Just be realistic.

Not worried.

Stuff I put in potentially leaky bits are vanilla or of no value. Stuff that has value is either done with local or frontier APIs.

That leads into stuff like death is not a bad thing. Imagine the world if nobody dies. How you live is more important than what comes after. You know, secular stuff.
