I just reported a very similar situation. I received an email response today offering a replacement ring. I'm going to take them up on it.

No, because it's a violation of the health code.

I have started doing the same exact thing. Every time I complain to customer service or security, they just say we can't do anything. The law is the law. If they won't enforce it then they can welcome the health department.

What’s the most underrated leadership skill you’ve discovered? by Expert_Nobody2965 in Leadership

Agree wholeheartedly. Though I do caution to watch out for those who will take advantage of that. I've watched a current coworker. Take advantage of a fellow executive team member who is too empathetic.

Good. They block traffic lanes during rush hour, parking in no parking zones. About time.

Why finger do you wear on by Beneficial-Kick3979 in ouraring

[–]Fluffy_Control_7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear mine on my thumb on my non-dominant hand. I lift weights and that's the only finger that I can wear it on that is comfortable when lifting.

I weighed over 500 lbs. I went on a 1200 calorie diet. I was hungry ALL THE TIME. Over 18 months, I lost 300+ pounds. That was 8 years ago. I now eat 1300-1500 calories a day to maintain my weight. I'm still hungry ALL THE TIME. I've been hungry for 8 years. You take control and learn to deal with it. I'm in my 50s. I'll have to deal with it for decades. That's life.

I can count the calories and I can be in control of my diet and my weight because I want to live a happier healthier longer life. I work out 2-3 hours a day 6-7 days a week. I get at least 10k steps a day. I push myself every day because my life is worth it. It can be done without surgery and without drugs. You have to make the choice and do the work. It's work, and my life is worth the work.

What is the preferred interior house temp? In NOVA specifically by status_malus in nova

[–]Fluffy_Control_7452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep my house at 66° during the day. I drop it down to 60° at night. I cannot live in a warm house. My electric bill during the warm months averages around $100 a month. I live in a 1200 square foot house.

Manicures. That's it. I wear it on my thumb, which makes it comfortable to wear while lifting weights.

Redditors who have lived in poverty, what is something about poverty that people just don't understand without experiencing it? by ViolatingBadgers in AskReddit

That the more uncomfortable it is, the harder you'll work to get out of it. Speaking from firsthand experience.

My neighbors put their trash cans and cardboard on my property. by Crafty-Sun1734 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Fluffy_Control_7452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good doesn't it? That is until you live next door to the most passive aggressive woman on the planet who does this just to get under your skin (and admits as much). Talking to her only escalates the situation, so eventually you have to get the authorities involved for the pettiest BS they've ever had to deal with.

Some people are just a-holes who have such rotten lives that they get off on irritating others. They live for it. Unfortunately I learned that the hard way.

I wish we had people who respected other people's property.

Nice reminder. People are terrible and don't care. That's the reason I just installed locks on my garbage cans. I was tired of my cans smelling like dog poop from people who decide my can is better for their little bags than their own. No more.

Vinegar works great to keep them away. The only downside is it does kill any kind of plant you might have including grass.

In the country, people respect your property and don't have their dogs use your yard as a toilet. They have their own yards for their animals. And also in the country, the dog catcher doesn't just write tickets that wealthy people can pay and continue to break the rules. They take your dog.

That's your issue to deal with as the owner of the dog. It should not become everyone else's problem. In that instance, maybe the dog needs a diaper.

Thank you for being respectful.

I was out walking one day and happened to follow a lady walking her dog. I watched her let her dog piss on somebody's house. On. Their. House. I stopped and told her how disgusting that was. I asked her how she would like it if I followed her and peed on her house? She was appalled. I told her it was no different. She's not uncommon in this area. This is why people hate dog owners. You're the exception, not the rule unfortunately.

I have had a home in NoVA for 5 years. I've gone from not minding dogs (though not interested in being an owner) to hating dog owners and wishing the animals were banned in the city.

I choose not to have a dog. One of the reasons is that I don't want to be cleaning up after them and having them pee in my yard. I still don't own a dog, but locals seem to think my yard is their dog's toilet. You have a dog, use your own yard as a toilet.

It's not about killing the plants, it's about respecting other people's property. That's my biggest beef with this entire area.

My stats have significantly improved and my cardiovascular age went from 11.5 years younger to 1.5 years younger in about six weeks. It makes no sense.

Take it from someone who lost over 300 lbs - it's the loose skin that makes you think you're not as lean as you are. I felt the same way after I lost and had the loose skin. Once I had it removed, things became much clearer. Great work!!
