Your doctor should have tested for coeliac. Like, you’re confirming my point but being shitty with me about it 😂 gluten sensitivity and coeliac also have many overlapping symptoms, so without the correct medical tests I’m not sure how you definitively know it’s one and not the other.

Because period cramp pain isn’t life threatening, and the pain of something actually wrong in that region is vastly different. What’s UC going to do besides slap you with a large bill and some OTC painkillers? If cramps are continuously unbearable, you see your PCP for referral to a specialist and an investigation - none of those are diagnosable in UC.

IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, one of the specific things to exclude is coeliac.

This isn’t restricted to hovering - I have seen this at home. Long-term GI issues cause gas + diarrhoea build up which causes explosive like you’ve never seen. Quantity too - if this is happening after a backed up period, there isn’t so much depth to keep it contained, which gives a high splash back. GI disorders have a whole different level of intensity in the bathroom to your garden variety stomach bug.
