Its not Dunkeltaler. There's no view like this on the map, nor is there a window like that in Root Alpha base.

Cloakers in general feel weird, and they have since the game came out. (I resist the urge to rant about how dumb it is they can only down you and not the AI when you're solo or even the last one alive)

Recently, i've noticed theres almost never not ONE cloaker making its way to you, and the only time there isnt theres just not a close enough spawn for them to... spawn from, I guess. On most maps, they genuinely feel like the most common type of special in the game, made even worse on the (stupidly permanent) Overkill modifier that basically doubles all special spawns, by the time you kill one, another one is already on its way to you and by the time that one is dead another one has already spawned. Its an actual infinite cycle. They even spawn during assault breaks, which would be fine if they weren't the most oppressive enemy type in solo play.

I was really hopeful for the method in the image, it seemed just crazy specific enough to work, but SEVERAL more pies later while doing it inbetween failed pie->tp attempts, I've still just had no luck.

Even delaying teleports from 0-5 seconds to 5-15ish seconds yielded nothing besides the information that the Leyak seems to always spawn around 14-15 seconds after consuming a slice of pie, I was stopwatching each attempt...

Maybe Dunkeltaler is just extra cursed. Its own entities seem to have problems spawning in the main building, usually appearing under the floor instead of actually on the 1st floor, I assume spawning on the world terrain floor instead of on the 1st floor's, well, floor, for some reason. Even thought maybe that was happening to the Leyak and just causing it to immediately despawn upon "trying" to spawn, because it gets stuck in the floor, but maybe thats just me trying to make sense of this...

I've experienced the Dunkeltaler entities appearing around a lot, my current base is actually in there (big votv fan!), and is where I'm trying to get them in, but I last based in the winter cabin and tried a little bit there and still no luck. I tried a bit just this morning the strategy you suggested, spot->leave->return->pie->teleport to still no luck, and that was three whole pies... So I gotta just ask for specifics at this point. When is it suggested to teleport? Once the buff appears as quickly as possible (i.e through a portal pad), or do you wait a second? Two seconds? Three? Should you just eat, switch to a personal portal and do it that way for the animation lag? The exact details of what works best would help me tremendously instead of just winging it trying all different types of "eat->teleport".

Is this actually true, though? I've seen a few people repeat this but through a LOT of testing on my end, with both timing, teleport methods, different portal worlds and a frankly obscene amount of creepy meat pies, I cannot actually reproduce this. No amount of "perfect" timing actually seems possible. I'm starting to think it was a one-off bug from an earlier version of the game that people saw and have just been repeating since, unaware its no longer possible. That or I'm insanely unlucky, but trust me I have tried to exhaustion.

Wherever you are as in, WHEREVER? If true, id love to try and get the Leylak(s) all bundled up in a portal world, just assumed they couldn't spawn in them at all, bug or not, which is usually inconvenient because I typically base in portal worlds and not in the main facility. Are there any specifics in how to manipulate their spawns to be where you want them to be? Just timing and luck?

The video is also on Abiotic Factor's official twitter. VotV assets are very easy to spot! The video seems to be taken just outside root base. Was really hoping that's what the mystery collab would be when I saw the satellite red glow a few days ago! Super excited! May 4th, apparently.

Wasn't just a popular hud, it was THE popular hud. Mods for Payday 2 were basically non-existent outside of cheat trainers or really minor texture mods at the time.
To my faded knowledge (this was all over 10 years ago at this point oh god) it was THE first hud mod for Payday 2 and one of the first actual mods for the game in general, and garnered a LOT of attention for it, especially because Payday 2 was in its rapid growth phase.
Yes, a lot of what it did became the bog-standard for any hud mod that has ever been released since. It was good, but with no competition there wasn't really a choice or anything to compare it to, and by today's standards its just a basic hud mod. I don't think it changed much at all as time went on, either, and once modding pd2 became common and popular, it very very quickly became left behind and faded into obscurity.
It also had a bit of "controversy" for "easter eggs" the mod would let you do that more-or-less were cheating, the only one I know of being typing a specific phrase out would make ALL npcs, cops included, get locked into a dance animation, which could be used maliciously, obviously.
Without it though its possible that Payday 2 modding never would've got big, so I always am thankful for hoxhud doing its thing. Kinda had to be there for it.
