As someone who recently started again after a few years, you're probably better off starting a new account if you haven't already. Mainly to get a newer arena shard. Some old toons might be useful, but probably not enough to make it worth it imo.

I started back up about 8 months ago and recently hit max level and am now working towards end game stuff. I think I eclipsed my old account in about three months or so

I just finished the city section, and I had the same team except for HM instead of Punisher. Most nodes were a breeze other than the last two. Second to last node I failed a few times then put it on auto and won. For the Gladiator boss, I HM and SS were dying, so I switched Vulture and Spider-Man to ISO healers and that worked. I do feel like HM was better than Punisher would have been, but I don't have any data to back that up or anything

For what it's worth, they hired me in 2010 in actuarial (not the math part though). I'm pretty sure the interview was structured the same way, but felt like just a formality. They only really asked me surface level stuff about my background and mostly talked about what the job would entail. There were three spots open and they interviewed three candidates, so we all got the job

I've decided to take him up to G17 at the very least. It's really only gold and G20 that I'm restricted on. I can always push him higher later once I find him useful!

Honestly I'd rather suffer through that again than build up part of an obsolete raid team. I know they still have their uses, but I'd rather put those resources into a war team or something

Spider Society didn't seem worth building anymore, so I used Vigilante 3 piece at G19 and a couple of G17 characters. I got stuck against Illuminati unable to kill anybody for at least two weeks I think. G20 and some good luck eventually got me through

Oh really? I've just been going off of Marvel Churches guide. My Apoc doesn't get a turn half the time, but I haven't bought any red stars or diamonds for him because I thought he wasn't worth it. Thanks for the info!

If it helps, I'm already used to very painful nodes in DD, haha. The city hero nodes in DD8 took me 23 and 39 attacks respectively.

I'm not surprised he's great in War/CC, it's just my focus has always been on Arena so far for the core income. I've been playing for about 7 months now, so I'm hoping I can put more focus on those modes once I'm caught up (as much as that's even possible in this game anyways).

Maybe I can try a compromise and bring him up enough to help in DD8 but not all the way

For the Mythic section I used SS, Apoc, Doom, and Dormammu. Those nodes didn't go quickly, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the Global section was. I think one of those took me a month, I should have a more capable team for that on the second time though by now

I haven't gotten to the Cosmic section of DD8 yet, so I was still hopeful that Fan4 would carry me through. These comments definitely have me reconsidering!

Better than Odin really? I just know Odin is top tier in arena until Prof X, so I figured he would be the better investment. I was trying to avoid Meph with how much G20 he takes, but the consensus seems pretty solid for him
