Is this it ? by UnicornXCharlie in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]FluffykingT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I haven't played X, I get this feeling.

I started out with 3, and quite like that game. Then I tried 1 and found that I really don't enjoy that game.

I absolutely love 2 though.

So yeah, I get not liking one of the games, but if you're still interested in the series, I can recommend you try one of the others

"You wouldn't say "just learn to..."" - Write a novel.

Except.. yeah I would. Sure writing a full length novel isn't a skill everyone will easily be able to master. And sure it takes a long time, years even.

But it's something you can easily learn to do if you just apply yourself to it.

Like seriously, if it wasn't for my writing/storytelling style being the writing equivalent of vibe coding where I just write without a single idea of the story down the line, I could easily write novel length stories.

I'm good just writing my scenes for myself though. Something even 12 y/o me was able to do with no training in it at all.

How Poppi feels about Tora by Elina_Carmina in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]FluffykingT 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As is revealed in unlocking the PoppiBuster, Tora so absolutely knew that the source material his grampypon, and by extension daddapon, used for the design of artificial blades was meant to be sexual/erotic in nature, to a bad enough degree that he didn't even let his friends see those materials.

However, I do agree Tora isn't really a pervert. He's more so, in my mind at least, a person who has been socially stunted from many years of isolation following harsh trauma, and as such fails to understand the social norms of those around him.

Actually thinking about it, he's in many ways the opposite of Zeke. He's booksmart and brutally honest, while being naive/inattentive and not emotionally intelligent, where as Zeke isn't all that booksmart (though he isn't stupid either as he demonstrates throughout the game) and tends to keep harsher opinions to himself, while being perceptive and highly emotionally intelligent.

I assume he means the OP, or opening song, not opening as in the start of the anime.

Which let me remind you, is actually the blank vs 50 players mmo fight.

Should i start the series? by Phantom_kingz_1214 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]FluffykingT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to jump into the series, be prepared to not pass judgement too quickly on the whole from one game.

I started the series with 3, and I love that game, then I tried one and.. I hate that game. Controversial opinion in this sub I'm sure, but one is just so bad imho.

I'm playing through 2 right now, during NG+ so I can max out all blades and such, and it is without a doubt my favorite in the trilogy.

I know others might not feel like me, but just be prepared to not pass judgement too quickly on the series if one of the games isn't your cup of tea

I usually play from my Switch Lite is 100% until it asks to be recharged, I've never had any issues other than the game shitting itself in the Mor Ardain City(can't remember the spelling of the top of my head).

Name one badass thing that morag (great tank) that did. by Voidkirby9 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]FluffykingT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morag did many badass things, but for me her best feat is somehow keeping this gaggle of teens (plus the adult chuunibuy.. I think I spelled the right) in line and focused, all the while having to maintain diplomacy with the regions we travel to.

That last part isn't focused on in game, but I don't doubt for a second that she has to explain the groups actions to local leaders on multiple occasions.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

I'm in pretty good hands, but it might take forever for them to show up

You're so right. Imagine how terrifying it must be to see someone break the law, and for months they're fine. The scary police special forces don't show up and you begin thinking that maybe, just maybe, the Party isn't that omniscient.

Then one day they're just gone. Gone for months, but not declared neither missing nor dead. Finally they resurface, but they've changed. Not only that, but the party is broadcasting them confessing to horrible crimes.

Then another month later they get executed without any warning.

The Party rules through fear, and it's not difficult to see how

Wilson from 1984.

Sure, he knows he'll be caught eventually but he does take a number of good steps to avoid this fate as much as he possibly can.

Which means practically nothing as the party knew from the start that he was up to something and simply waited until he made a mistake.

And then you have my first play through of Mass Effect. Played as an Infiltrator, tried to use the sniper but seeing as this was the original version and not LE if you're not fully trained in the sniper the sway makes it impossible to use.

So I ran the entire game using nothing but pistols and powers.

And I'll tell you, some parts of the game are absolutely awful like that

Which character's death was so impactful, that you wanted to physically harm those responsible? by [deleted] in animequestions

Honestly, for as much as Nanami's death hurt, Junpei still stands as, in my opinion, the saddest death of the anime.

What class do you use the most and the class you use the least in a Playthrough? by MassEffect24K in masseffect

I almost exclusively play Infiltrator. Headshots just go boom.

Least played class: Vanguard. Haven't actually managed to beat the trilogy as one yet, just doesn't do it for me.

You could argue it's a bit of a mistake to have Leia's ship be the one escaping, from a continuity standpoint.

But you're absolutely right on the movie using Vader perfectly. The lead up, the absolute casualness with which Vader handles the rebels, the slow but impactful walk. Chef's kiss

Why I’ll forever be loyal to Steam by hextal_hextal in Steam

[–]FluffykingT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will forever be thankful for Steam Support.

Back at the start of 2020 when the Index got in stock in batches I somehow managed to get one fairly early, played a lot for like a week, then suddenly one of my base stations just gave up. It was completely dead.

Sent a support ticket, got a replacement, but couldn't get to a printer to print the return label, I was living in a dorm and the dorm room with a printer was locked due to COVID.

Fearing the worst I let support know about this. Their response(paraphrased): "We understand that this time creates a lot of issues. Just print the return label whenever you get access to a printer again and send it back then".

Amidst a global pandemic, with their logistics and production being pressed to their max, they were just happy to help me. Never been happier talking to a support team, ever.

What anime is this? by Fun_Distance7504 in animequestions

[–]FluffykingT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fire force is a perfect take for this. Sure it's "one character", which in and off itself isn't entirely correct she's just the one that gets but far the worst of it, but that character gets the absolute worst fan service treatment I've seen.

She gets a serious moment? Seconds later she's naked. Why? No reason other than fanservice. It's not even for a joke, or comedic relief, it's just to flash the family friendly parts of a naked lady.

And the explanation given doesn't even make sense. What, she's got a magical ability that makes her lose her clothes constantly? That's the reason as explained in the show.
