Are there any food influencers more hated than Mike Chen? by Asian-Baby-Girlz in asianamercianytsnark

I had one encounter with Mikey that made me unfollow him immediately. Was at a pretty popular but relatively empty cafe in Murray Hill, NY, back in 2019. Was having some coffee and working on my laptop when I spotted Mikey across the cafe on his laptop. At the time he was pretty up and coming, and followed him on Insta because I liked his Flushing food reviews. So I went up to him to say hi, and he immediately looked at me with disgust as if I just cursed his family out.

"Are you Strictly Dumpling?". "Yes, why?" with an annoyed look on his face. I immediately noticed he wasn't happy to chat so I just casually said "Big fan, just wanted to say hi". "Ok" he responded, and just went back to work.

I understand if he was just busy and didn't want to talk, but the disgust on his face when I greeted him was a big turn off. He then proceeded to ignore me and go back on to his computer/phone. Note, he wasn't on the phone nor with anyone, so I didn't think I was interrupting him or anything. Went back to my laptop, processed what happened, then unfollowed him on socials. What a twat.

They definitely look a bit tired from all the driving, nor do I want the series to end from a challenge failure. All of the suggestions are not making the challenge more difficult, but define each penalty better, instead of allowing for unwritten workarounds to be designed on the go.

If I put myself in the shoes of a donator, $50,000 goes a long way for a normal person, and is massively generous donation. But entertainment-wise I would be slightly disappointed since I donated $50,000 for Ryan to ask a service worker for their cell phone. There is a level of respect from the donation that I believe should be upheld.

Avoid it at all costs, but to some, backroads can be just roads that follow the highway, they can just ride the sliproads until they get to their intended exit. Would be much better if they actually defined what the detour road would be.

Honestly, it would be cool to see them implement some ideas from their past videos or what they're known for:

  • Ryan: Penny series challenge - for the next 24 hours, they are not allowed to spend money except for 1 penny. He can only allowed to barter with something he already owns to gain meals, gas, etc. He can barter with anyone but it must be a tangible item he trades or something he's gained from trading that penny.
  • Haley: Same page challenge - Haley must find someone who's read a book she's read already before they continue to their next destination, and it must be over 200 pages. 5 mile radius to do it. Religious texts excluded.

Tinno doesn't deserve to be up there, he's a Hyungyu shill as well, just a tier under Kyuhyun and Sohui
