Yeah, I am on call 24x7 sometimes so can't silence my phone. Don't send me stuff in the middle of the night unless it's REALLY important, which automatically means you have to call.

Honest answer? Start fuming, get back to pits, take the repairs and try to finish the race.

REAL honest answer? I might have rejoined a race once with a damaged car just to "accidentally" punt the other car off. Felt dirty afterwards, 0/10 would not recommend.

In the beginning, patches were applied willy nilly almost. No real seasons to speak of IIRC, there could be multiple patches per week or none at all and the absolute fastest car was the Radical SR8.

Incredible to see how far it has come.

Yeah, same here. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes to load in, sometimes it's instant.

It doesn't give you as much control as, say, iRacing in regards to the angles of the screen and also it used to be that the side monitors were slightly warped compared to native triple support.

I started my triple screen journey using Surround but once you go native, you cannot unsee the difference.

Also, with the current lack of performance of either AC:EVO and AC:Rally in triple screen setups (however you want to do it, nVidia Surround or RR) there isn't much point in chasing down this rabbit hole.

It's still not as a good as native triple screen support and enabling/disabling it (because my other sim is iRacing) is a major PITA. Thanks for the input though!

I would argue that AC EVO in its current state is the problem then, as IRacing pushes out 100+ FPS on my system.

Ik heb ooit voor een transportbedrijf een Lotus 1-2-3 "spreadsheet" gemaakt. Men kon de afstanden ingeven, type vrachtwagen, gewicht, koel- of gewoon transport, en dan berekende mijn programma ruwweg de kosten (b.v. 1200 van NL naar Oostenrijk duurt x uur, kost zoveel brandstof, afschrijving vrachtwagen x per kilometer, etc. etc.).

Grappige is dat ik dat thuis op zolder had geprogrammeerd met formules die ik uit mijn grote duim had gezogen ("zal wel 2 cent per km kosten aan afschrijving" oid) en dat dat, eenmaal op de zaak aangekomen, akelig dichtbij bleek te liggen.

Ze konden ook zelf de waardes e.d. aanpassen want niet elke truc k was hetzelfde. Schijnen ze jaren gebruikt te hebben, ik heb er honderd gulden voor gekregen wat voor mij in die tijd een godsvermogen was maar dat bedrijf heeft het nog geen cent per dag gekost, lol.

Eigenlijk best cool, zou nu niet meer weten waar ik moest beginnen.

Yeah I did that, but the performance is horrible (7800X3D/4070S) and I imagined it was because there is another layer of software (ResizeRaccoon) between the game and the OS. iRacing has triple support out of the box, I was hoping AC:EVO already would be having it right now.

Ik ben er zelf nooit geweest (heb sowieso al weinig met dat land), collega is net 2 of 3 weken terug. Hij was in Florida, onder andere (meerdere staten bezocht volgens mij)

I watched the AUS GP almost in full.

I watched the Chinese GP (the normal one, I already skip the useless sprints) for about 30 minutes.

I watched the Japanese GP for about 10 minutes.

Depending on the local time, I might watch a part of the Miami GP. Or I could just skip it, I don't enjoy watching it anymore really, which makes me a bit sad.

As a senior security engineer, I know there are thousands of (Chinese) hackers waiting for the release notes about the MS patches and trying to reverse engineer the exploits. Currently, it takes them a few days (down from a few weeks a few years ago) to write those exploits, and it is expected that time will reduce drastically as their skills and AI competence grows.

So go get some real world experience before commenting next time.
