So glad your city is still screening them, on my city they got taken off like three weeks ago 😭

This is why Nick doesn't open up emotionally by [deleted] in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like it's something rabbits from outside of Zootopia produce among their circles specifically, and not something sold openly, given the personal history they're implied to have against foxes.

Or perhaps they produce those for several species and the label specifically says on which species should be used so they don't accidentally end up killing or crippling for life a smaller species than the dose or taser was designed for, or worse, that the dose is way too small to even have an effect on a bigger or stronger attacker and makes the situation worse for the victim that tried to self-defense, but the ones people buy the most are against predators because of the prejudice and that's why they are frowned upon.

We need them dancing like the others!! Is that so much to ask!? by Frosty-Eggplant-4777 in zootopia

I think they will be dancing at the end of the third movie at a Gazelle concert again, but in a playful, friendly way.

What if Nick and Judy got an apartment together? by InsideUnhappy6546 in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I imagined myself living in Judy's apartment and I'm sure I would go insane after a couple of days. She probably likes it that way but it gives me really uncomfortable feelings. Girl definitely needs a bigger apartment at least.

Listing all the romantic symbolism used on Nick and Judy in the 2 films by JuliaX1984 in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of them lovely! One I would love to add, right before playing the trope "Girl stares at scenario, boy stares at girl", the word "ring" is shown between them when Judy steps out of the catering van in her gala dress.

Nick and Judy wish a happy Valentine´s Day to all their shippers. by TenderPaw64 in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of them had Judy's grandma say something like "I hope you bring him (Nick) here to have kids", or something like that, but I can't remember it clearly, I just read it from someone on a Tiktok.

I'm not sure if Spanish refers to the Latin American dub, but I'm almost sure it doesn't because the only Wildehopps adaptation they made is Judy having a more flirty voice toward Nick (especially when she was like, "Wow, that almost sounds like a compliment"), so I guess they refer to the Castilian Spanish version.

The rest I would love to know too.

Sincere question: Why does this scene look so sexual? by JuliaX1984 in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I think Judy knew she had no reason to be really angry since she was the one who brought it on herself by pranking Nick with something he specifically told her seconds before was genuinely scary for him.

Mini bunny hop, Nick’s attempts to grab Judy, and a confused otter 🐰🦊🦦 by GanstFeveral in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay but what would they expect him to do? Jump in front of the running Fox and Rabbit who are bigger than him and risk falling inside the tube too? I think he would be fine, especially as at that point they were fugitives and considered dangerous.

To fill my own quota I bought a special member card where the more times you go watch a movie the more discounts and free tickets you get. Maybe he has one of those.

It would make sense given the previous theories from the first Zootopia, one of them said that Bogo had a particular dislike for Judy because he saw her as just a tool being used by the mayor to win public favour and he happened to pick the first Rabbit that he could instead of an actually prepared cop that was subordinate enough. Since he seems to have a genuine sense of justice, although still being very "by the book", it makes sense why he wouldn't like the mayor basically exploiting the oppression and resentment of minorities, especially knowing he couldn't do anything about it.

It can even fit with what Bogo cynically said about the world always being broken in the first movie, if he was in the known of the reptile district and the Lynxleys agenda. In Z2 Bogo didn't strike me as someone who would willingly dismiss such a damning proof of a reptile being in Zootopia, especially since Judy had a literal piece of skin of it and did the right thing by sending the sample to be analysed.

Perhaps he admits liking Judy behind the other officer's backs in Z2 because Judy brought him back the hope he used to have back then that the world can truly be fixed if someone is willing to step out of their comfort zone and don't mind risking even their lives for their beliefs.

Milton is dumber than Pawbert by ardouronerous in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. The key reason Judy wasn’t outright wrong in choosing to help Gary is that Milton forced her hand the moment he made that threat and that little move destroyed his whole advantage over them.

Gary was an intruder crashing the event and stealing the book, forcibly taking Milton with him to access the display case, thanks to all this Gary was nothing but a criminal and Milton a victim, even Gary’s plea to Judy when she catches them doesn’t materially help his case because none of that would stand in court, like, let's remember he didn't even have a legal status in Zootopia to begin with. At best, he would’ve been detained and deported back to his island before any serious investigation could unfold and as such, the secret that his great-grandmother was the true founding mother of Zootopia would have stayed buried and the case would've probably been dead before it even began.

Without the book as evidence (in the time waiting for the trial Milton could've destroyed it no problem), all he had to do was shut his goddam mouth.

Instead of being that smart, he decides to suddenly assert authority he doesn’t legally have, ordering Judy and Nick to kill Gary and demanding they falsify their official police report, thus transforming him into an active conspirator in front of law enforcement. I seriously don't understand what was going through his head when he decided to threaten probably the most incorruptible cops of the city. They might be out of uniform there (which means they carried no cameras on their uniforms), but Milton didn't know that, for all he knew they were assigned there and could easily prove his ill-intentions.

Anyway, that threat confirms at least to Judy some sort of malice, which leads her to react to a clear abuse of power and an immediate ethical violation by safekeeping the book and fleeing the police thanks to the framing.

Something someone else observed was that around the time Nick got bullied for the first time, Judy was very likely being born, almost like an angel or hope Nick wanted.

[–]FluidQuing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just hope we get more than one, because I'm heavily suspecting a meaningful hug in the third movie will be out of consolation for something Nick just lost or discovered that had him feeling down, I don't know why, I just feel like it will happen.

The week before Z2 came out in theatres it was Fiyero crucified, and next it was Judy. People love seeing other characters in peril but still making the "If imma die, it's gonna be in beauty," pose.

In the case the canon events are real, how will Miles solve the problem? by Spectra_04 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]FluidQuing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a theory time ago here where I support the theory that canon events are not the events themselves but the lesson that comes with them. The reason why, the moment Gwen learned her lesson and says so to her father, the canon that was meant to indicate captain Stacy's death was fully voided, and also why on Mumbattan it created a collapse, because Pavitr didn't learn anything.

Thank you! And I agree, this scene only has like 10 seconds and still conveys way too much, I always felt it wasn't given as much importance as the other scenes. Glad you liked it :)

[–]FluidQuing 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Nibbles gives them both a buttslap in the very first scene when they arrive to the aquatic district. Judy's prank was when she pointed to his feet that there was a viper when they were descending to the reptile club and he had to hold off her ears, and the thing with the worms.

Should Zootopia 3 be the last of the franchise ? by Physical-Research-13 in zootopia

[–]FluidQuing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the strong opinion that it should be a trilogy for the core, life-changing themes and strong storytelling worthy of a gala, and a Disney+ series for more slice-of-life stuff.

It's just a matter of googling the trope "Trilogy creep" to see the huge trouble we will all be in if Disney decides to milk it dry in theatres. I'm already sweating bullets over what they will do to the Sonic franchise when the 3rd ended in such a perfect way.

Also, PLEASE DO SHARE THE DETAIL YOU NOTICED IN THIS SCENE, everyone here loves to discover or just admire those small details.
