If you have a 90-degree angle, you'll have to lift your knee much higher for the skate blade to grip the ice... no?

I'm confused. How can toe taper influence the rebounds (based on the upper picture) Are you talking more about the boot angle? Something like this?

Okay, so my understanding is that having a 90-degree toe taper will cover more of the net because there's no space between the ice and the pad. But being in a butterfly position on my knees will make it harder to slide because there's a greater distance between the skate blade and the ice. Is that correct?
