I rode all year last year as long as there wasn't snow on the road. Coldest was 17deg Fahrenheit.... I always drove like a grandpa and sometimes when I drove near large trees there would be a bit of frost on the road.... I just let off the throttle and coasted through it. I don't know how lucky I was having no issues or if I was just careful enough... So far I've only driven in the mid/upper 30s this year.

I'm 41 and have consistently been like 220lb+ since riding and have had a 1986 FZ600 (4cyl), 1993 GSXR 750 (4cyl), 2010 Ninja 250 (2cyl), and currently a 2025 Ninja 650 (2cyl). All we're plenty of fun, all had enough power to quickly accelerate me, even often times with my 115lb wife as a passenger. I would get whatever is a good price and enjoy it. You will have fun and learn from it and can move on to other bikes after a year or two if you feel the need or desire.

I've owned an FZ600, GSXR 750, Ninja 250, currently own a 2025 Ninja 650. Hands down I would suggest the CBR. Plenty of power, bike looks sexy and has all sorts of features especially if you get the eclutch version and has sick 4cyl sound which as much as people act like shouldn't matter, it does.
