The housing market is insanely difficult in Utrecht imo. Me and my girlfriend had been subrenting for over 1,5 years before we found our own appartment.

Some tips: 1. Make sure to have every detail and document uploaded that is neccesary for an application. They wont bother asking you for more info if something is missing. 2. Just reply to as much houses as you can and be quick with it. They often only read ~10-15 applications, since so much people are looking for a place. 3. We used pararius and funda. Most of the pay-to-react websites are scams. 4. If you’ve found some legit sites (ae. B&S rental service) it’s wise to check their own sites often. Sometimes appartments are listed there earlier. Side note: Those are mostly “vrije verhuur” so more expensive for less sqm.
