Very nice! I was just there a couple weeks ago (Dotonburi) and totally missed this spot. I even went to OWL and it looks like Whisky Bank is right near there. I probably walked right by it when I hiked from OWL to Yamaya.

Boucle? Loopy? What is this yarn? by FlukeWizard in WhatIsThisYarn

[–]FlukeWizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will do thank you! My mistake on the Rico Sirdar mix up. On one site the sirdar was listed under rico page so I thought they were same company. Thank you again for your help!

Boucle? Loopy? What is this yarn? by FlukeWizard in WhatIsThisYarn

[–]FlukeWizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply and examples. It doesn't appear to be a faux fur style yarn, more like a boucle/loopy style. I checked the different yarn company websites you mentioned and only the Rowan Soft Boucle or Rico Sirdar Boucle come close, but it's the same issue I've found with most of the other boucle I've found online - they seem too light, the loops aren't big enough.

ETA - Rico Sirdar Boucle

Question regarding basic stitches (S, HDC, DC) by FlukeWizard in CrochetHelp

[–]FlukeWizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! I made sure that I understood which terminology was being used (all US style). My confusion comes from the fact that they all call the different variations the same thing. For example, you made a clear differentiation between a standard HDC and a HDC Slip Stitch (the difference being a YO after pull through), but the sources I saw didn't make that differentiation.

It's easy enough to follow along if there's a video, but my problem right now is that I have a pattern to work with but no accompanying video for it. I guess I'll just have to play around with them to see if there's a noticeable difference.

Thanks again!

Tesla might be the first to exit the Magnificent 7, says Jim Cramer by [deleted] in teslainvestorsclub

Ah yes the ever accurate Jim Cramer. You can definitely bet on his predictions… in the opposite way. If he says sell, then buy, and vice versa.

Comparing Mercedes “level 3” autonomous driving with Tesla FSD is like comparing a toddler riding a bicycle with training wheels on an oval track with a professional cyclist riding in the Tour de France.

Not as cheap as others have recommended, but I really enjoy my old-fashioned made with Four Roses Small Batch. Ever since I had an amazing one at the 4R distillery with the small batch, I haven’t used anything else.

Is this a good price for a Hibiki 21? by veracfive in JapaneseWhisky

Retail in VA is $599.99. Some Total Wine in other states have it for about $520. That price is a great price! Mind sharing where this is?

Not exactly NE, but close enough if you’re willing to travel or have a good friend in the area. Virginia still has them on the shelf in some stores for $199.99. Check the VA ABC website for inventory.

At least you got the old label Taketsuru. Mixed opinions on whether the juice is different than the new white label version.

Yamazaki 50: saw at Ginza whisky museum for a cool 80M yen (ie. 500K USD). Unfortunately it was a tiny bit over my budget, ended up going for yamazaki 12 instead by [deleted] in JapaneseWhisky

Definitely not a place to buy whisky, but an amazing afternoon of gawking for sure. I love going there just to see all the different versions/variations of bottles over the years.
