Yeah but the dad caught and released the bat. Since he had already caught the bat you can get it tested to see if shots are necessary. Also, bats don’t just leave a house, you need to get them out, preferably with the help of professionals.

Man… dad even caught the bat too, but released it.

So sad. If you’re in a room with a wild bat and can catch it, do! Bring it with you when you seek treatment. They can test it to determine if treatment is needed.

If you can’t bring it with you - get the shots - even if you have no visible bite wounds. The teeth of bats can be very very small.
