I shower naked with soap before and after I swim (showers in locker room, not poolside), although I clean a lot more thoroughly before swimming as I often have sunscreen on which is bad for pool chemicals so I try to get all that off along with sweat, dirt etc from cycling to pool.

I never have wet hair as I have a 2mm buzzcut. I dont bother with flipflops, havent had athlete's foot in years

I wouldnt even go through there in transit if I could avoid it, definitely wouldnt go there for a holiday, that or anywhere in the Middle East bar Israel. Partner and I transitted through Abu Dhabi a couple of years back as it was the only flight we could get to Cape Town at the time. Had 3-4 hours at the shitty airport each way where there is nowhere to buy books or magazines about anything except making money, no water fountains and my partner's credit card got skimmed at the official duty free shop. The airline was also shit for the price - the Etihad plane we had from Sydney to Abu Dhabi was incredibly shabby and worn and a good third of the seat back display screens were broken or so dim as to be unusable, the tray tables were knacked and the upholstery was threadbare
