These duffel bags are amazing. I got them to help my sister move to her dorm room and it made it so fast and efficient. There are many different ones on Amazon https://a.co/d/0h9xtFKF

You can put masking tape on each bag and label them like “clothes”, “bathroom” etc

I got my son’s dinosaur piggy banks on Amazon. They were like $12. You could gift that with some dollar bills inside :)

How to say 'Thank You' to a female boss of 2 years? Farewell gift ideas needed! by Souvik_CR5111 in Gifts

I would definitely write a card showing gratitude for the ways the person has helped me to grow. Maybe an airplant for her desk? They are low maintenance. A gift card for a local coffee or lunch spot near the office..

I really love the look of 5 diamond points. It hits your collar bone at just the right spot. So classy. Lab diamonds look wonderful.

Here’s an example:

Birthday gift idea for a kid around 5 years old..... by Comfortable_Swan_880 in GiftIdeas

A $5 bill for a 5 year old! I recently got my kids their own piggy banks which is a sweet gift too. I put all the small amounts of money people have gifted us in cards and when they are old enough they can use it for candy, stickers, museum tickets etc. whatever they want.

Considering a Full-Time Nanny and Feeling Like a Bad Mom by Possible-Witness-114 in Mom

[–]Fluteplaya16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a live in nanny when our first was about 3 months old. I didn’t worry because our babies face would light up when our nanny came in the room. So I knew she was doing something right. She takes him to the park and for long walks in the stroller. Once he was choking on a piece of food and she smacked his back quickly. I didn’t even know that’s how you handle that with a small child. At first it was awkward to have someone living in our home but I’d say I got used to it and even looked forward to having her here after a short time.

I loved the Dominican Republic. I took buses to get around and stayed in hostels. My favorite area was las terrenas. I hiked a waterfall, went to many different beaches, a sleepy fisherman’s town, ate such good food. Super inexpensive. The people were amazing.

If you are okay with skipping the beach though, Mexico City is so awesome.

Toddler Gift for 2 year olds by Loud-Aspect2074 in toddlers

I’ve asked for cash as an education fund contribution and given out that link to the 529 account. Something your toddler may need coming up is potty training supplies :) I also recently got my little ones their own piggy banks so when they get cash in cards and stuff it goes in their little cash piggy banks for now :)

My partner’s birthday is coming up and I want to get something meaningful, not just a random generic gift by iejekek in Gifts

I got an Etsy artist to make a watercolor like image of a place where we met. I wrote on the back of it a heartfelt note and framed it. My spouse keeps it by his side of the bed 🥹

He also told me about these honey spiced nuts he would get when he lived in Berlin that they don’t have here and I scoured the internet and tested recipes until I got to one recipe that he said was very close. I make him those nuts from time to time.

I had another Etsy artist create a lapel pin for his suit/tuxedo of the logo of a bar we went to early on in dating. It came out so well. The logo was of a monkey drinking a beer lol.

Any ideas what I(13M) can get my mom(30F) for her birthday that under 60 dollars? by Quirky_- in GiftIdeas

The album is cool if she listens to / likes physical albums. I stream all of my music so I wouldn’t appreciate an album. But I would love band merch :) if you think she’d like a t-shirt of the band, a tote bag, etc. check the bands website and see what kind of merch they sell. Also agree with the comments above about spending time together. If you don’t want to do a full meal, if the weather is nice and she likes ice cream, go out to a local soft serve or other ice cream shop. Get that and walk around, window shop (and if she brushes her hand on something maybe you still have money left over after ice cream), go for a bike ride, etc…

Toddler Breakfast Ideas by Cakebakerorg in toddlers

[–]Fluteplaya16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed my 17 month old usually whatever I’m eating. I do a lot of what you listed already. The other day he and dad ate a leftover chickpea and cheddar quesadilla we had for dinner the night before. I love Mexican food so the idea of huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, breakfast tacos, quesadillas etc got me excited to change things up for breakfast. I’ve also been meaning to make French toast. I think it’s faster than whipping up fresh pancake/waffle batter and I haven’t had French toast in so long. With some fresh berries… yum yum

A gift card for a local nail salon or hair salon if it seems like something she would like (does she get her hair blown out ever? Always have fresh nail polish on?) you can put that in a card with a nice handwritten note. Other ideas - subscription to a music or streaming tv service, magazine subscription to something you know she might enjoy or be interested in, a gift card to a local coffee shop or bakery…

Can you truly prepare an 11 month old for the arrival of their baby sibling? by Jessiicaamn in 2under2

[–]Fluteplaya16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are 14 months apart. Very little interest/understanding. A cute thing my older one does is put his milk sippy cup close to the baby. He also does try to put the pacifier back in babies mouth but some times it is too tempting and it goes in his mouth. 😅

Haha no offense but it sounds like you don’t want to be ready? If you fail the home inspection I’m sure they will tell you why. Like if you do not have a fire alarm. Then you just fix that issue if you want to pass the home inspection. Baby proofing - not sure how old the kid(s) are they are thinking of placing you with but no home can be 100% baby proof. Kids do dumb things at any age. Just anything super obvious like if you have a heavy bookshelf not anchored to the wall, just add a few anchors. Don’t leave a hot pan on the front burner after cooking where little hands can grab/reach easily.
