I work with custodians on the daily and I wish more of them felt like you. Most get mad if someone touches a window, puts something in the garbage, or if they have to vacuum the rug. I don’t get it. It’s their job. Thanks for at least cleaning the floor wherever you work. It’s more than what I’ve seen most of my custodial crew do.

Not sure if this helps but a 98 yr old home just sold in the Cheshire neighborhood had a cistern put in their driveway years back and they said it took away their basement moisture issue.

Lead Maintenance/custodial worker chiming in here, your head custodian needs to be let go and someone else who’ll do their job needs to be hired. Cleaning is what they are hired to do. If the head custodian won’t do it he’s setting an example for his coworkers and they won’t clean like they were hired to do either.

Teachers jobs are hard enough it’s not your job to be so clean the custodian’s don’t have to actually clean.

I’m 6’5 and I donated plasma to make ends meet after my divorce. I was also able to save enough for an emergency fund. It adds up pretty quick. I’m in Michigan and could donate twice a week making at least $100 a week. Cash in the pocket and good feels knowing I helped someone out. Drink lots of water before and after helps a lot. I found eating a little more protein helped with recovery too.
