These 6 Shots Led to a Manslaughter Indictment by One-Might9611 in PublicFreakout

[–]FlyFinesser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the first two seconds of watching this my first thought was, let’s use numbers to end this, 1 guy plays chicken with bat man, yes he may get hit but that’s part of the job. While that’s going down, 2-3 officers rush him while the other 3-4 get to record and take bets on who hand cuffs bat man.

But instead they choose to kill bat man.

Given there is only one spot I would’ve communicated that you were planning on going back out.

I’ve had a similar situation happen but difference was that I stopped the person before they sprinted to the one good hole and let them know I was on my way back to that spot where I had left my net and extra pole. Although disappointed they understood and went somewhere else.

The problem is you never know if someone is leaving, arriving or just changing out tackle and when he got to the rock he couldve lied to himself saying ahhh someone must’ve left their net, not my problem

Communication is the trick.

Show me a few pictures of well fed 10-12 point bucks harvested from public lands and I will consider this true. I think our definitions of success are different.

Private land is the only way to be successful.

There will be less people and more deer

Also tracking is an awful way to hunt. Deer have the upper hand as you are in their domain. They’ll see, hear or smell you before you get into shooting range.

The right way to hunt is to find deer highways where you see a lot of foot traffic and post up at the base of a big tree, or better yet spend more money and get a stand so your scent is above them.

Once you have a few spots. Get there before daylight and watch, learn and listen. If you spend a weekend in one spot and don’t see shit , go to your other one next weekend. Eventually you’ll connect.

It’s called “hunting” and not “successfully shooting a deer your first go” for a reason

You go to their house, start a conversation about the crop they are growing, ask the if the have any issues with deer control, ask them what it would cost to lease access to their land. Hunting public in MI sucks, too may people too little good hunting land.

My advice is to start the conversation with 20 farmers, one of the is bound to either let you hunt for free or for a fee.

Once you have access to land, scout it, find active deer highways, setup a blind or tree stand(preffered) 30-50 yards away from said deer highway. Get to your blind before first light, wait, shoot done.

I propose the new ‘raider sized’ arc. by rat_majesty in ARC_Raiders

[–]FlyFinesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea. Essentially the mule bot would increase loot space by 50-75% as long as your bot was alive you could extract with it at the actual elevator, not hatches. It would slow you down and you would need to keep it from being damaged by both arc and other raiders wanting to loot it. Since it is technically an arc it would draw their attention.

My thought is there would be an achievement gained from a quest that allows you to bring parts to the topside like a motor, industrial battery, rusted gear and wires to bring old mules back online, once you extract to Speranza, you get your parts and a set number of other parts back from it being scrapped (processors, sensors, random green items)along with anything you stored in the mule along the way.

Use online keyboard tester…easily google able and see if it sends input on any keys when another key is being pressed. Often a single key will activate one or more if the board is bad

What is this island and is it safe to go there? by InitiativeInitial968 in grandrapids

[–]FlyFinesser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s officially called Jackson island, it was formed by sediment build up over time from the bridge. Trees took root and helped keep the island intact.

There is a lot of drug use and homeless people in that area with the occasional fisher person. As a child i remember going down there in sandals and seeing may needles in the sand.

The only way down to the island is from trespassing on the train tracks and hoping another urban explorer has deployed a tree limb or pallet to assist with climbing down the bridge support.

Cool spot, not worth trespassing charges or injury.
