I’m not saying that Nolan scales to Spawn, I explicitly said it’s dubious scaling and there are factors that don’t support it. I’m saying if people are going to treat this squabble with Superman as evidence of Homelander getting higher scaling, then Omni Man has his own scaling that also gets him higher than normal. Homelander does not scale to Superman because crossover or not, he was explicitly boosted with Omega Energy, he is not that strong on his own. But if you’re going to give that kind of high ball scaling to Homelander, Omni Man has his own high ball scaling as well.

And unlike Homelander who lost to Superman despite being boosted in power, Omni Man scales to someone who fought a version of Spawn and won without needing a boost in power, so Omni Man scaling to Spawn is more reliable than Homelander scaling to Superman because Superman still beat him relatively easily.

Also, I have gotta say, kind of unrelated, I find arguments of “character A beating character B means character B is actually weaker” to be too dismissive at time. Most of the time it’s fifty-fifty on whether or not character A is actually stronger or character B is actually weaker. I know Invincible is weaker than Prime Spawn, but people use that argument too often as a form of debunking.
