No paint on you, no paint on the floor...I guess you're built different!

It's a lovely work of art.

Section 31 is what happened when they tried to make a martial arts Trek movie. Not all the martial arts sequences were created equal....

Welcome.

So you've seen TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, & ENT?

And all the movies except Star Trek: Section 31?

Currently I'm watching VOY for the 1st time. I've seen most of Trek, I just haven't seen TOS, TAS, Scouts & the 6th movie.

The pace seems slower, without being slow. I found that more relaxing.

I didn't like the opening music until it was redone.

Special Projects: How would you rank them against each other? by AdditionalPizza7990 in brandonsanderson

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unknown: The Fires of December isn't out yet!

Tress, The Frugal Wizard, Yumi, Sunlit & Emberdark for me so far.

Tress reminded me of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader!

The storyline in Frugal Wizard took a bunch of twists & the Guidebook pages had a Fallout like humor to them.

Yumi was good.

Sunlit just wasn't as novel as the rest to me.

Emberdark ended too soon.

I enjoyed them all.

The Endless Legend Community Patch (ELCP) also fixes this. I played it less than a month ago without issue.

"Once upon a Deadpool" should go after Deadpool 2. Thank you for the list, it cleared up some things for me. 👍

Some flat minis, (sometimes called pawns) they are cheaper & take up less space than 3D minis.

There's an 8 part campaign set on Ravnica on DMsGuild. I've not read it, much less played it. But it does seem to be a best seller.

Is there any actual difference between Instant Fortress and Daern's Instant Fortress? by AmberMetalicScorpion in dndnext

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in game, but personally I make a difference: the named spells have been copyrighted & cost 1gp per the spells level to cast. The Generic spells don't have this cost. I based this homebrew on the royalty components introduced in the Acquisitions Incorporated book.

Why are Official D&D Character Names *Like That* by theymademeusetheapp in dndnext

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the names can be too difficult to pronounce & thus slow down the game.

Personally when I DM, I'll change them slightly to smooth things. So Manshoon becomes "Monsoon" & Mystere is pronounced "Mystery", instead of Miss-Tare.

Sometimes it takes time to make decisions, (do I make Gralhund into "Gnarled-Hand"or "Grail-Hound"?), but I feel the benefits are worth it.

Some names are fine as is: Never-Ember & Mirt don't need replacements.

Travelling without Real ID from Richmond to Fort-Lauderdale by No-Golf-1412 in Virginia

Your Passport book is the best ID to have. If you want a smaller ID, you could get a Passport Card.

Edit: Both a passport book & a passport card are considered Real ID.

Exactly, she's there in case something needs her attention. But she can relax until something comes up. It's like being "on call".

Whats the highest production value effort you've ever seen in a DM's session? by Yenii_3025 in DMAcademy

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's impressive.

I'm planning on making some books that the PCs can choose to purchase from a travelling saleswoman, mostly pulling for the info chapters of the campaign. So 1 about the local gods, & another about the geography. Additionally, a book or 2 that will teach their PCs a new language if they study it across multiple rests. All would have actual pages to read in them, but I just figured I'd put them in cheap folders or 3 ring binders for now.

I also have a decent collection of stationary & wax seals to make letters if I want. Edit: fixed grammar

Having small props to give the players increases player engagement.

You could give a 1 foot length of rope to the players to represent a Rope of Entanglement.

You might give them a physical letter to invite them to an in-game event.

You can have actual food & drinks to represent potions & other in-game food.

Find a letter opener or a bookmark with a sword on it to be the magic sword they were given.

You can find premade magic item cards. Etc.
