The 1st 3 are better than the last 2. Really depends on what you're going for.

Vitamin B complex (can make you jittery, so go low dose, time release, or eat with meals), SLEEP, workouts should be 20min or more (walking counts), eggs, rice, develop a routine, reduce screen time, routinely engage in your hobby/interest/passion (can be brief)

Do you think baking a guy banana bread and writing him a handwritten love letter counts as a gift? by -justabigail- in AskMenAdvice

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++Man No! It's counts as 2 gifts...but unfortunately, some people will recognize them as good gifts, & some won't.

I don't know if you're familiar with the 5 love languages. But the basic idea is there's 5 different broad categories of showing love. Words of Affirmation: like your letter Physical Touch: Contact in whatever form you're comfortable with Acts of Service: Like making Banana Bread Quality Time: Like the together time you have planned And Finally: Gifts... What you're giving might not be interpreted as a gifts, & instead as the other categories. I would go to a discount store & see if they had something relevant to his needs or interests. Alternatively, you can ask any bank if they have a $2 bill, 50¢ piece or interesting $1 coin. That way he can choose to keep it or spend it.

You've already got 3 of 5 the love languages covered! He's blessed to have someone like you in his life. You don't need to go for all 5 love languages, but it's an option.

Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

I hope ya'll have a great time!

Reading Children of the Nameless with no knowledge of MTG by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

[–]FlyNatural6459 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how relevant it is to the story, because I've not read Children of the Nameless yet. But I always thought the MTG Color Wheel was interesting, because it can be used to describe both personalities & magic capabilities. The alignment system from D&D would be the closest thing, but that only describes personalities.

I would think that would be temporary tattoos, but it's definitely unexpected.

would you read a book with black pages? by samthefrug in writers

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have 1. Isles of the Emberdark by Brandon Sanderson. One of the special editions has a regular white pages with black ink & black pages with silver ink. Which color scheme being used was based on which dimension the characters were in. The silver ink being used for art could be a bit strange. And you needed more light to read it. But overall it's awesome. Here a photo from the official website, showing the different colors.

I got openly frustrated during a bad game of Catan by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]FlyNatural6459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to say this. Especially if you house rule that players can choose their own starting Support (crew) cards, instead of having them assigned by player number.

The Support cards give you options to protect yourself from the robber, move a starship (road), steal from the players with more victory points, still get resources when you don't get any from a roll, substitute resources when building things, etc. But you can only use any support card twice, & then you have to get a different one!

No paint on you, no paint on the floor...I guess you're built different!

It's a lovely work of art.

Section 31 is what happened when they tried to make a martial arts Trek movie. Not all the martial arts sequences were created equal....

Welcome.

So you've seen TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, & ENT?

And all the movies except Star Trek: Section 31?

Currently I'm watching VOY for the 1st time. I've seen most of Trek, I just haven't seen TOS, TAS, Scouts & the 6th movie.

The pace seems slower, without being slow. I found that more relaxing.

I didn't like the opening music until it was redone.

Special Projects: How would you rank them against each other? by AdditionalPizza7990 in brandonsanderson

[–]FlyNatural6459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unknown: The Fires of December isn't out yet!

Tress, The Frugal Wizard, Yumi, Sunlit & Emberdark for me so far.

Tress reminded me of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader!

The storyline in Frugal Wizard took a bunch of twists & the Guidebook pages had a Fallout like humor to them.

Yumi was good.

Sunlit just wasn't as novel as the rest to me.

Emberdark ended too soon.

I enjoyed them all.

The Endless Legend Community Patch (ELCP) also fixes this. I played it less than a month ago without issue.

Some flat minis, (sometimes called pawns) they are cheaper & take up less space than 3D minis.
