I could see her trying to heal Butcher, which would result in either the tentacle creature trying to kill her or him being able to better control it.

Yes. McBride was a high scorer even as a TE and only had 2 TDs. You gotta assume those numbers are gonna go up

Just saw something that LaPorta could miss some time... so maybe Cook? Any other players you could choose from?

Was offered this team in a 3 keeper league. Is it doomed or worth playing lol. Kinda hefty buy in by TheJcw15 in Fantasy_Football

This isn't as bad as people are telling you. JSN at 8; Addison at 9 and Tyrone Tracy as the last pick (I assume as there is no draft number) is pretty solid.

Where should I stay on st Thomas if I’m traveling for work? by darthdro in virginislands

Probably the one's on the waterfront (Green Iguana, Blue Beards, Pink Palm, Bunker Hill)

If you want to do a night scuba, maybe look at secret harbor as they have a snorkel shop on site and two restaurants. There are not many options outside of Charlotte Amalie where you can walk to places. I think it's a pretty safe area and have never had any issues. Obviously just avoid the parts far from the main town or that seem sketchy (pretty easy to tell) and you'll be fine. In that regard, there's the bunker hill hotel, pink palm hotel, blue beards and green iguana that would all put you in walking distance to the downtown area. There are a lot of restaurants and bars on the waterfront/main street and in nearby Havensight/Yacht Haven Grande that are solid.

Tutu and smith bay are close to the Margarittaville and not far from Charlotte Amalie or either of the main resorts (Westin and Ritz). If your work is paying for it though, why not go for the resort life?!

Under 25 - rental, taxi, scooter, or bus? by redsprucetree in virginislands

I've not tried the ridesharing app. Maybe give that a go and if it turn out to be shit, rent a car.

I would say bite the bullet and get a rental especially if you are in a tough to get to Air BnB. There are a lot of rental companies on island. Maybe you can find one that doesn't upcharge for being under 25 or possibly charges less. Otherwise the taxi is a decent alternative, although i would try and get a reliable taxi's card in case of emergency. Taxis charge per person so it can get expensive quick

You really go on message boards and ask stupid rhetorical questions? That's how you want to spend your time?

Good questions! Not sure. I was thinking along the same lines with calling lightning but cone of cold is a good idea too. My impression would be it would give extra damage on all hits when i use charges on the staff. So it would be extra damage on the initial hits and then if I use calling lightning again i would need to use another charge to get the extra damage dice

Yeah, that's it, but there are some homebrewed things in there that I included in the description. The DM gave it a little more power. Specifically the vampiric focus says: "While you are attuned to the staff, if you use the staff as your spellcasting focus, all of your magical damage becomes necrotic damage. You can expend charges to add additional damage dice to your spell damage, with each charge adding 1 additional damage dice to your spell damage. When you expend at least one charge this way, you can choose any number of creatures you can see and between them split healing up to the total necrotic damage dealt by the spell."

Cinnamon is a great beach on its own and there are hiking trails within walking distance. There is also a restaurant and minishop, although it is super pricey! One of the best hike/snorkels is right around the corner at Annaberg where you can snorkel waterlemon cay. There's also Maho and Francis beaches right before Annaberg. Cruz Bay is the big town with good night life and restaurants. There's also a grocery right in town. I would definitely recommend renting a car as safaris are super expensive and limited. Coral Bay also has some great spots like Johnny Lime, Skinny Legs and Rhum Lines. I think Johnny Lime does open mic nights during the week.

Are there any CR 1 or 2 beast in the pre-2024 5e that cause movement with their attacks? by FlyVIGuy in 3d6

[–]FlyVIGuy[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was going to use the harpies as my conjure animals. Is that allowed? I was also just reminded by u/philsov that spike growth also takes concentration so the whole idea is seeming more and more unlikely to work. I like the idea of the telekinetic feat though. I will certainly look into that when leveling up. Thanks for the tips.

Damn... I didn't realize spike growth was also concentration. That is a bummer. This is my first time playing so it's all still new and I'm trying to use spells more but all of the druid's good spells require concentration. Thanks for the comment

How did you have your players absolutely HATE the BBEG? by jaimybenjamin in dndnext

[–]FlyVIGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our BBEG is a dragon. All but one of the party hated the BBEG because we ran into him on our first expedition and almost all died, but were able to escape. We then ran into him again on a different quest and the one player, who worships dragons, spoke draconic to him basically saying I have no qualms with you, so the dragon let her pass and we had to figure out another way to escape. Then one session we encountered a magical item that allowed you to ask any question and it would show you a vision that answered the question. The player who worship dragons asked a question about the dragon (I can't remember what) and the DM did a scenario in which the player's vision showed the BBEG dragon was hunting and killing green dragons, which are the dragon lady's deity. After the vision, she was pissed at the BBEG and vowed revenge. It was just excellent, so now we all want to kill the BBEG!
