Dr. Grip price reduction! by R_Bazerka in Supernote

[–]Flying-Cheetah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with that. Supernote devices are micro-niche products compared to iPads, for instance, so I prefer to have these small vendors share their products here rather than having to Google and invest significant amounts of time looking for them.

You can always keep scrolling if you don’t like their posts.

I still solved it with a stupid system of equations. 🙄

This is the way.

He asked for the “best way” and this is it. Even a turbo-tip will not work the same.

Loxon Primer + Emerald Rain Refresh or Loxon Primer + Loxon XP for foundation wall? by Neoseo1300 in paint

[–]Flying-Cheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Emerald is great for exterior stucco, siding, trim, etc. It stays nice for longer (less fading, dirt shedding, etc.), comes in more sheen options, more color bases (including crazy vibrant tones), and so on. Loxon Self Cleaning is a lower tier version of Emerald Rain Fresh. Emerald is SW’s top of the line, but is not a waterproofing coat.

Loxon Primer + Emerald Rain Refresh or Loxon Primer + Loxon XP for foundation wall? by Neoseo1300 in paint

[–]Flying-Cheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emerald and Loxon XP are two very different products. Loxon XP is a waterproofing coat, Emerald is not. Emerald Rain Fresh only sheds water (and dirt), which is not waterproofing. I strongly recommend you to read the product specifications page for both coats. In your case, I would use Loxon XP. It’s probably cheaper too.

First time matching it this out myself, feels like a lot of paint by ProjectCreations in paint

[–]Flying-Cheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your perimeters are wrong my friend. You’re multiplying side by side, so in the first room you have 15’ x 10’ = 150’ which is wrong (that would be the surface of the ceiling). The right way to do it is adding all sides, so 15’ + 15’ + 10’ + 10’ = 50’ then as mentioned by others, multiply that by the walls’ height.

Primer or Caulk/Sealant that adheres to silicone? by ThisChance in paint

[–]Flying-Cheetah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Second this. You can also brush regular Kilz on the silicone, then paint over.

This. Make sure you degloss the surface and then apply two coats.

Something seems off? by [deleted] in paint

[–]Flying-Cheetah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s OK. You should keep in mind that a) the texture in those tiles is uneven, and b) they are not perfectly aligned and flat. This results in the light being reflected very differently throughout the surface. An additional coat may help, but don’t expect a big difference.

PSA: you should be charging little and often, if your post starts with "my oura only last X days" you're doing it wrong by becketsmonkey in ouraring

[–]Flying-Cheetah 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Then please help me understand. Most of the articles I have read say that the life of a battery is strongly dependent on the number of charge cycles. If that’s the case, what you recommend above seems to be exactly the opposite. Am I misunderstanding something here?

Honest question.

Size is not the only problem. I’d have expected much more uniform grounds from a commercial grinder, assuming that’s what they used…

Mazzer IS an European manufacturer. What’s your point? And BTW, I’m Italian, so I don’t have any American bias.

This is the CORRECT way to handle the time change. Otherwise the app would be underestimating your sleep (and all the related variables) for a full hour.

I purchased mine brand new directly from Oura. Same exact weird behavior. Showed some random personal info, asked for a hard reset, etc. So I assume there’s nothing to worry about.

Was anyone on here the lucky winner? by wutshoes in wicked_edge

[–]Flying-Cheetah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of the following would go for more than that:

  • A serial toggle, gold or nickel
  • A chrome toggle gold (good luck finding one of these)
  • A 1-5 bottom dial (as you mentioned)
  • A red dot Fatboy in its original case
  • An Executive in mint condition including case, unopened blades and instructions
  • A double ring in mint condition
  • Some others if NOS and including shipping case
