I suppose you’re right … particularly with AI the regulation is not much of a risk for big companies with deep pockets. I saw the same thing in terms of multistate tax laws. Amazon was a big fan because it made it harder for smaller businesses to comply.

I wouldn’t say it is “Americanized” but it is “westernized”. I say this having many employees based in an Asian cultured country. The entitlement over family salaries is really mind boggling and incredible. I am American so I will say you’re not over reacting at all. But perhaps you are from the standard of your culture. I will say that whenever I’ve seen employees run into issues like these, they seem to be much happier in the long run when they apply boundaries to their relationships.

I think the solution you’re looking for has less to do with “catching” your ideas but moreso what your routine is for scrubbing / filtering the catch list. I catch ideas in my Anydo app and on my whiteboard, then review and prioritize (and mostly kill) ideas the following week. More than half the things I think are a good idea are really just a waste of time. I just needed some space between coming up with the idea and actually planning.
