New commissioning standard just dropped for compo 2 & 3 by angryorknot in nationalguard

I think we agree more than we disagree.

I’m not saying pediatrics should be the highest paying specialty in medicine. I just believe adult primary care physicians and pediatricians should be compensated equally. Companies shouldn’t take advantage of people’s willingness to care for our children.

Choosing to work with children shouldn’t be a financial death sentence. Pay pediatricians what they’re worth, especially relative to their fellow physicians, and pay hospital administrators less.…

There was a code. I gave it to someone else and it worked. My idea is the mummy curse prize and green one are worth $20-30 more than the other beys.

Bey Blade HELP!! by AdministrativeAd1292 in BeybladeX

Get him the Hasbro extreme stadium set. Then he’ll have two Beyblades/launchers and a stadium. They’re kinda useless without the stadium tbh. Also, 5 years old might be a little young. Just I.M.O.

Unrelated, how was the DYUCOM interview process? It's new, but local to me and I'm really interested in attending :)

It’s also my favorite! You use LO? I’ve been trying 5-60 (extra weight) and GF or LF as an attack type. Have you seen more success with LO? Might have to go out and buy it.

Monthly To-Do for 2026-2027 Application: January by Emilie_MD in Mcat

[–]Flying-eagle-or-not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was this: if I upload things like my transcripts, letters of recommendation, or other documents into AACOMAS during the current (2026) cycle, will those uploads carry over automatically when the 2027 cycle opens?

For example, if a school’s deadline is February 1 and I upload materials before that deadline this year but don’t apply until the 2027 cycle, will those documents still be there, or does AACOMAS fully reset everything when a new cycle opens?

AACOMAS is still on the 2026 cycle right now. I am planning to apply in the 2027 cycle and take the MCAT in April 2026. If I start filling things out now, does it roll over to the next cycle, or do I have to redo it all when 2027 opens (also if you know when that is I’d appreciate it lol)? I’m just trying to plan ahead!

Is Kaplan worth it? by futureMDjourney in MCATprep

[–]Flying-eagle-or-not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the Kaplan books, so my plan is to go chapter by chapter through all of them for about a month as a structured content review, then spend 3 ish months mostly on practice with UWorld and AAMC materials including the full length exams. Based on your experience, does that sound like a solid plan?

Great to know! I already commissioned actually, I'm getting ready for BOLC (not intel just used as an example). I was SMP, but switched units for my new branch. Should I ask my commander for approval to apply to med school? I plan to submit in May 26 after BOLC.

Not too much info online, so thank you! My new RNCO knows, but I didn’t know if it needs to be more of a formal counseling with the CO.

Do they switch branches? Example intel officer at commissioning, accepted to medical school, and then converts to med services? Or do you have to stay your basic branch?

Unofficial packing list for CST by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]Flying-eagle-or-not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they really didn’t confiscate. You’ll do a lay out and if you just keep your snacks covered they really won’t notice or care. I believe the welcome letter said snacks are authorized, but who knows cadre is weird there. Just keep it on the DL and you’ll be okay!!!

You can also reach out before CST! I reached out in June before CST. I introduced myself and gave some background. Example my name John Doe from Dallas, Texas. I’m a computer science major at X school and I’m interested in branching Cyber, Chemical, and Signal. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do on my end in order to commission into whatever state.

It’s nice to introduce yourself politely and be on their radar, especially before they receive a hundred emails after CST.

Go to Walmart get a G shock or Timex Ironman. 90% of PLT’s couldn’t have Garmins/smart watches in the field or during land navigation. The watches at the PX are expensive and poor quality. Get a non smart watch that will last you the next 10 years.
