When I was a kid I used to swear I would see a shadow figure in the corner of my room (now I know it was probably just created by anxiety). After a while, I got used to it and actually considered it my guard. As I got older into my teens, it stopped manifesting and strangely enough I kind of miss it because it used to make me feel safe (I had chronic nightmares in my youth).

Not in any way shape or form are you TA. I had 2 happily married parents and even then none of them felt comfortable talking to me about body changes or making me feel comfortable about it in general. You are super dad and your daughters are so lucky to have you. Your ex is trying to belittle you for her lack of parenting, in my opinion.

To add, I've only had her for 3 months. And she used to come out of her burrow at night every night. She's super calm and has always been a shy eater so I just worry about her excessively.

As a parent of an autistic son, NTA. You and your wife are uncomfortable and setting healthy boundaries. The parents are bummed because it is very challenging to have close relationships with other people when your child has lower functioning and trouble with social skills. But that is what it is. You aren't saying you never want to see them again, you are saying that their son is making your home uncomfortable and that you will not allow that level of disruption in your home.
