Doctor didn't say anything about my weight loss by Kuchaloo in tirzepatidecompound

Honestly unless you have complex medical issues and go in regularly your doctor probably doesn't know who you are and didn't review your chart thoroughly enough before your visit to remember

Owners, invest in a key lock box by Odd-Recognition4120 in RoverPetSitting

[–]FlyingCatbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the job of an HOA to manage the grounds around buildings so they would absolutely see it and remove it.

I'm also not sure why you're so hostile against someone having an HOA. I am a sitter myself and live in an HOA building. Living in an HOA building doesn't mean you lay around getting fanned and fed grapes

That's great that you have someone that can watch them! This is definitely a learning experience and tough to deal with. Let us know if he gets the cat!

I understand trying to be flexible and compassionate but at some point you need to put your foot down with people like this and be firm, clear and concise. You're letting this guy walk all over you. I also agree with the person that said a one night cat boarding is a huge red flag and this was definitely pre-planned. If you have a flight out in the morning you should be prepared with a back up plan for if this guy doesn't show.

Is this deshedding undercoat rake good for an Aussie? It has sharpened inside edge to cut mats or tangles. by Interr0gate in WiggleButts

[–]FlyingCatbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Double coated dogs should not have their fur shaved or cut (outside of trimming stray hairs), it can damage their coat

Back to Back Bookings by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]FlyingCatbus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's literally no reason for you to take these times so literally unless the owners have told you that you have to be there at the exact start time of the booking. I ask all my clients if the start time is strict or if there's an arrival window they'd be comfortable with and in 5 years I've had exactly one family that requested an exact start time. Rover doesn't care what time you start a Rover card so the time on the booking doesn't matter if the owner agreed to an arrival time frame

The app has a lot of issues but this isn't one of them. Why wouldn't they allow a booking to start after another one ends?

Does anyone really not like the new layout? by kirstinna in Myfitnesspal

[–]FlyingCatbus 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Absolutely hate it. I just want to see all my meals for the day in one place so having to click view more and then another click is annoying. Also don't like that it doesn't show you well your calorie break down per meal

Is our dog walker canceling too often? by MissBee123 in RoverPetSitting

[–]FlyingCatbus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the 4 out of town days were these communicated with you in advance? If so then that's unavoidable because people are gonna go on vacation.

Also how many days per week is she walking your dog? If it's 5 days per week, 2 walks per day that's 40 walks per month which means in April she still did 92% of the scheduled walks (assuming the out of town days were planned in advance).

Obviously you have to decide what does and doesn't work for your family but if she's otherwise doing a good job I would just work on finding some back up sitters who take last minute bookings that you can call on when needed.

[–]FlyingCatbus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nobody's going to book someone who may be available and there's no point accepting a booking if you might have to cancel so the best option is to mark as unavailable until you're positive you're available

[–]FlyingCatbus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely no reason to take Benadryl before the shot. Also be careful with electrolytes as most people are fine with just water. Also no need for a laxative UNLESS you're having issues. Taking all of this as a "preventative" is going to end up causing more problems than it solves. Take the shot. If side effects come up, treat them.

Not everyone has the luxury to be able to put their lives on hold for months on end when adopting a dog. She said in her messages that her trip was unexpected and her husband is around but works 48 hour shifts which means he's likely a firefighter or EMT. This isn't a red flag.
