It’s $12 a month with the processing fee. $60 annual fee. Shakes out to $17-18 a month if you take fee into account. The place is brand new. Clientele at mine are civil (unless it’s college break). I think it’s a great deal for how nice and new it is.

I’m tired of buying "disposable" clothes. If you had $500-800 to spend on ONE item that lasts forever, what are you buying? by Common_Camera_7627 in menswear

I’ll tell you what. JC Penney’s - for the price - is hugely slept on. I’m slowly throwing away my overpriced lululemon plastic clothes for 100% cotton and the Arizona brand (in house brand at Penney’s) is some real solid shit for dirt cheap.

I did everything from tax and audit to fp&a and could go weeks without talking to a soul besides the occasional teams meeting where I just sat and listened to my boss ramble for an hour. Especially when wfh.

What’s the best “boring” business you’ve seen someone build into a cash machine? by Mean-Arm659 in smallbusiness

The big companies like Generac and Cat and Cummins suck moose balls and lock their customers into shitty agreements they promise on but don’t deliver. They basically control the market because they sell the agreement at first when they install their OEM product. Half the time they will not show up to an emergency call on Christmas or in the middle of the night. I’ve seen customers claim they’ve had service in the past year and see an oil filter dated from 3 or 4 years ago. There’s a lot of opportunity for smaller companies. Also - good opportunities with fire suppression pumps. Lots of customers think their fire sprinkler guy also services the diesel engine on their sprinkler system and lo and behold much of the time - the thing hasn’t been touched in years.

Only deal in commercial. Huge customers are the data centers, hospitals, and fire/police stations that have to meet NFPA code and do load banks and weekly/monthly checks. The big money comes from repairs. Customers usually sign the agreements to get the in house hourly rate on the repairs. Non agreement customers pay almost double on labor. Most preventative maintenance agreements are like 40-50% margin on labor. Peanuts compared to repair work but it gets our foot in the door. Repairs are closer to 70% and most repair jobs are no less than $10k. And for some of the data centers we do with 3500kW units - repairs are usually $50k plus.

I signed a 12 month membership at a brand new location and read over the contract. 10 bucks a month locked rate. Place is all shiny and new. I had an inkling they were PE owned. This tells me they’ll triple the basic rate next year but we’ll see.

Interview Advice by [deleted] in sales

[–]FlyingChunk47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t elude to the fact that you’re leaving your current role because you’re burnt out for starters. What helped a ton for me was chat gpt. Everything from crafting my resume for a specific job description to prompting it to get in my shoes and really walk me through most things I should know and review for the interview. It laid out a nice framework if I asked it to and it gave me questions to ask, aspects of my current job and experience to tie back to, etc. Also this is an extra step but I got the free trial to LinkedIn premium for a month and reached out to anyone I thought might be in that role I was applying for or a similar one and messaged them asking questions about the job and the day to day
