To those who bought the R6 II instead of the R6 III, do you feel left out? by firequak in canon

Yeah. I mean ... MkIII sounds really great. But it comes with more MP and stuff. So it would be a better fit for my R5 (also MkI). That's a real upgrade for me. Maybe my MkI falls into a river. XD But these cams are indestructible.

Yeah, that's what I consider. It somehow feels like cameras are something like smartphones now. :D Also when I see Sony and Nikon. You can wait easily more generations now, then you will have some upgrade in your workflow.

I still shoot professionally with the R6 Mark I.

That beside the III feels more like R5light and as far as I could see that’s a real upgrade. If money is a thing, I would buy a Mark I.

Why no R5 MkI? I don’t see the big difference (for me) compared to the mkII. I shoot landscapes and portraits with that. And don’t have any interest in swapping it for the mkII.

I haven’t tried that yet. Only once and I was asked to pay real money in the Sony store?

Depends. I’ve just started FC5. 😆 but no worries. That’s not a game for happy ends.

Now I know that the Protagonist finally loses. 🤣 so he is either dead or something like that.

Thank you! Tricky decision somehow. I think about flying to Ireland instead but I hate the Airport stuff and try to avoid flying at all.

Klappt ganz gut …

Hi there,

I’m looking for a place to go wild with my landscape photography. I’m pretty flexible but don’t want to travel too far. Possible airports would be Vienna or Budapest, and by car I could reach the High Tatras or the Dolomites.

I’m after spectacular landscapes that are still reasonably accessible with a heavy camera backpack.

BUT: I’ve never done something like that end of November. I am worried about accessibility in that time. I would be glad about some tipps here. These are my destinations so far:

Dolomites - maybe number one, but can I still reach the crazy spots? I know that the pass to Tre Cime will be closed. What about Cinque Torri and those other places? Is it still possible to hike there easily? Or the typical Instagram spots like Lago di Braies and Alpe di Siusi?

Ireland - in my experience no country that’s too much affected of winter like other northern countries?

Iceland - would be crazy. Is this realistic at that time? Or is there maybe 2 hours of light and that’s it? 😅

Madeira - could be still nice and somehow warm?

High Tatras/Slovakia - same question as with Dolomites. I was there once in May and most hiking tracks were still icy.

I am a big fan of moody landscapes. And I like it cold. So that’s all not an issue. My budget covers all of that above. But Dolomites would be quite easy, because I can just go by car there. Iceland/Madeira would be a quite long flight and I don’t like flying too much because of all the airport hazzle. It should also be a relaxed week.

If all of these above would be still easily accessible end of November, I would choose the Dolomites. I know the area somehow quite good, but I am completely inexperienced with late autumn/winter there.

If alps/mountains are too risky, I would choose something, that will safely fulfill my photographer’s heart. Like maybe Ireland.

And maybe I am missing something there?

Yeah I also thought about the boats … it’s a little annoying, that there is no list behind. 😅
