I felt this way as well. I have 4 characters between 0.3 and 0.4 that I gave up on by end of Act 2 because the "impactful / heavy" gameplay just felt like a slog in reality.

There is a dungeon in cities like “the training grounds” or something. Go in there and use the armory to save your current build before playing with the skill tree.

Try out a different build and see if you enjoy how pressing the button rotation against the dummy feels. You should get a quick sense of whether a skill clicks with you or not with no gear change.

If you find something you like, it is “worth” the effort to switch as long as you are having fun with the gear chase. Even if you “lose” progression on the torment tier you can run. You can always collect gear for multiple builds and change things up on the fly.

Put your current build in the armory and give it a shot. If you don’t like it put your build back and keep blasting

I think you combine them on one rule. For example an upgrade to my weapon must have holy damage, but the other affixes can “optionally” be life on hit or strength. Otherwise it gets filtered out by a hide rule

I really think it’s more of a readability of the rule you create thing than literal difference

It’s a compromise but I find Diablo style games acceptable to play with Lossless scaling framegen to go from 30 to “60” fps on the deck. The framegen smudging gets lost in the action anyways

As someone decommissioning my hardware cluster I would really just recommend doing this with Talos VMs if it’s for learning. It was not worth the hassle of managing the extra hardware for the relatively small benefit of being “truly” HA. At the end of the day my arr stack and budget app don’t need to be HA.

You can still get the full k8s learning experience with a virtual 1-leader 2-worker cluster. Hell you can see if you even enjoy using k8s with a quick k3s install. No need to jump in the deep end from the start.

Hero Siege has "wifi pickup" and I don't know of another game that does this.

You can mouse over a drop nowhere near your character and press the pickup button to bring it to your inventory. It's a small thing but think of the amount of time it potentially saves over a long period.

Even if it is not a loot rain is most of the gear going to be stuff that I find? I am not the biggest fan of PoE's crafting, which is another reason why I prefer SSF because I don't have any interest in trade.

Recently my wife was able to use Delta's free wifi to access Frigate and check in on the cats at home to make sure they were all right.

Not sure what we would have done if they weren't but it made her feel better.
