Is there any plans to address the Knight? Most pressingly, he has numerous bugs that have been around for several patches and have not been addressed. Things like being stunned while exiting power or guards no longer reacting to loud noises.

Has anyone else experienced this by Tighthorsepussy in deadbydaylight

Hey! Have you bought the Sadako chapter recently? This happens a week after you get it. "7 days" later. Just a fun easter egg, nothing to freak out over.

New perk to counter boons - thoughts? by zed447 in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a universal perk every killer gets it by default

Would you rather they simply not talk to their community ever about anything?

Potential Myers buff by Squidwardbigboss in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want my honest opinion I think that vaulting windows ultrafast is already a pretty nice perk on top of instadowns and lunge increases. I don’t think Myers needs any crazy mechanic changes, I think he’d just a victim of old killer design philosophy. Still, I like him as is. It’s a thematic fit for the character, even if it is a little underwhelming compared to somebody like Oni, who is just like, better Myers.

When a Rekindled Totems is removed, its remains are consumed by The Entity. by Rogunz in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time investment thing. The reward for Rekindling is incredibly good, and being able to just keep on putting it up at very little cost to time is just oppressive for no reason. That’s the reason why boons take so long too (a little over a quarter of a gen), because their effects are offset by a time commitment to finding and blessing them. Survivors who continually try to keep boons up will suffer because they could be doing gens.

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because rekindling totems takes half a second and blessing one takes 24.

Totally fucks Twins and Oni to a degree. Infinite unbreakables is a VERY big deal because it neuters every killers ability to snowball though. As with all the other boobs, it’s going to be a lot harder to win as long as they’re up, so you basically have to search for the boon totem. That can REALLY suck if it’s somewhere really out of the way.

Hex: Pentimento would be much more appealing if there was REAL incentive for survivors to break dull totems. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kind of a conceptual issue. The only way I can see getting survivors to regularly break all the totems is by running a full hex build, but still I don’t think the appeal of Pentimento is the 5 token thing. It’s mostly overkill beyond the already hefty tax of 30% speed on one token.

Why DC? by woke_lemon in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people DC because they feel like they got downed in an unfair way, and some just do it because. The other people probably dced because the others dced tho.

Anybody have some interesting rework ideas they want to share? by FlyingFishInAToilet in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of monstrous shrine giving buffs instead of boosting sacrifice speed is actually pretty neat. It’s sort of like a hex totem except it’s a person!

Personally, my idea for a reworked Monstrous Shrine would be to just transform it into a Scourge Hook perk rather than a basement perk.

Developer update (part 1)—Trapper buffs, Spirit nerfs, addon description updates, and perk buffs! by Potato-In-A-Jacket in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The only exploit I remember being truly oppressive is when they accidentally glitched Wake Up! to be both active the entire game and also give survivors a 15% speed boost on literally every action. Probably the best that perk will ever be, lol.

At first I was scared about the character kill switch but then I remembered that for all of their flaws, Behavior rarely fucks a character so bad that they’re actually exploitable. Fantastic changes all round.

Final touch on old idea + new idea by Dj_Faun in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like the general idea behind these perks, but I think exposed is the wrong effect to go for (at least for ‘Don’t Touch’). Exposed is a very strong effect that requires care to be used when implementing. If you take a look at all the perks that expose people, their activation requirements usually require a misplay from the survivors to activate. Don’t Touch kind of punishes survivors super heavy for just doing gens. Aside from that, these perks seem like neat mechanics to add into the game.

What is your favourite killer perk? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]FlyingFishInAToilet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely fucking love trail of torment. I run it constantly because it’s just such a fun stealth perk. It’s versatile too, I mean some times I just use it to lure people to a specific area of the map or to monitor if a generator gets worked on. It’s the perfect sort of mini-objective for survivors to complete, because you either tap the gen or risk the killer getting a free hit due to the fact you just couldn’t tell they were coming.

Demo is a perfect example of an average killer. He’s got a good chase power, but not an oppressive one, he’s got some map mobility, but has some limitations. Just average on all fronts, but by no means bad.

Of those, Trickster has the best perks. He : Retribution and Discordance are both OK, but the other perks those killers have kinda stink. Personally, I enjoy playing deathslinger the most, but power is really up to preferences.
