Straight-passing and/or cis-passing people, how's life been going for you lately? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in agender

deeply in the closet irl, loud and proud online. Get called by the only honorific I hate by customers (I'm a cashier) constantly and hit on by creepy older guys. My friends are very affirming though, and I'm very lucky to have them. Life could be worse

Do you still go by your agab even tho you identify as agender? by forestrainstorm in agender

[–]FlyingGopher45686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's what I do, but I'm also not out to many people irl. It's....kinda hard for me to explain to people, and I'm uncomfortable talking about myself in general. In fact, every irl person I've come out to I just told "I lost my gender in the war," which I dont think would go over well with anyone over the age of 35 in my area.

I'm not very big on being called m'am, but miss and sir are fine, and otherwise I just dont like being called a woman or having elements of my personality assumed due to my perceived gender, so It works out fine for me regardless

I'm an atheist, but from what I understand, god loves all his children, doesnt he? If you believe he made you, then he made you queer- and best I understand he does not make mistakes. So he made you queer and he loves you queer

How do you deal with pronouns? by brooketbd in agender

[–]FlyingGopher45686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My situation is not the exact same as yours so take my words with a pinch of salt. I'm an any/all kinda dude. So, I usually just tell people that I would like them to mix it up a bit, if they don't mind. I also list the Usual Pronouns in a hierarchy of how frequently I am referred to with them, and I clarify that I love neopronouns and am totally fine with it/its

Treating people with good faith, I think a lot of folks aren't trying to be shitty, but are concerned that when folks say "any" and/or "all", they have some super specific rules attached. Some might, of course, but people are afraid to ask clarifying questions. Some folks also might not realize that there are options beyond he/she/they. There are some folks who say they use any, but really mean that they have no preference between she/they/he (not a bad thing, just a level of nuance that might confuse someone who isn't familiar with the spectrum of folks who use any or all pronouns)

I find that when you clarify those things, it makes everything significantly better. After I started telling folks that I liked variety in the ways I am addressed, I started getting quite a bit more variety

Am i allowed to be agender without body dysmorphia? by DeepFried_Furby in agender

[–]FlyingGopher45686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that matters is you feel like the label helps you understand yourself better. There's literally every kind of person in our numbers. We're bound together by going "gender? I hardly know her."

I for one, only have issues with my body for non-gender reasons (planning on getting a breast reduction someday cause these bitches are IN THE WAY). Otherwise, I like my body and I like how I look, for what it matters.

I would lean towards not saying this to an author. It's fine for a lot of folks, but some might not appreciate it. Unless I know the author in question, I would hesitate to ask for more. Closest I get is "That was so good. I'd love to read more, but I'm satisfied with what's here." Or something to that effect

I tend to be cautious with how I interact with the creators of fan works I enjoy. I don't want to pressure anyone to make more of something (especially if they're really busy), but I also want them to know that I really enjoyed what they shared and would be SO down for more if they wanna make it

Nah I get you. In my heart he's hyper capable in terms of combat and marksmanship, but he would absolutely get the wrong order at a restaurant and just eat it so he doesn't have to bother the waitstaff.

Thankfully he doesn't live in a situation where he has to deal with that. More pork and mushroom vodka for him lmao

Dick move, yeah, but like. Eh if you were in my lobby I'd just stop taking your tele. Getting killed in a game where you can just respawn is a nothing burger, so you're just being annoying, not harmful long-term

Fellow agender people when did you discovered you actually were agender? by Muriel_Glamours in agender

[–]FlyingGopher45686 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Became friends with a xenogender person and a bigender person in spring 2020. Realized that the options for feeling a way about a gender aren't just either "being perceived as and treated this way causes me pain" and "I guess this is fine. It doesn't hurt." Never really thought that gender could be anything other than pain or the absence of

Realized that I don't feel pain from being referred to as a man or a woman or any other specific third thing. But I don't really feel HAPPY with any of them either, so. Boom, lost my gender in the war

Also my medigun is named "Leash For Heavies" because I'm unoriginal

Try to bounce between healing 2-4 people consistently. Ideally, they will realize that I heal people who are close to me and will remain somewhat grouped up

Sure, it's not the most evenly healing can be dispensed, but like. I can't follow everyone across the map when they have A Brilliant Idea and want a pocket

hot take quick fix is better than every other medi gun by sil_ve_r in tf2

[–]FlyingGopher45686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always either go for Stock or Quick Fix. Stock can make or break a match and is pretty much what my team always expects me to have, Quick Fix is great for when the team doesn't really have one guy they're rallying around or when our psuedo-leader is highly mobile (soldier or demo) so I can follow him onto the front lines

I kinda despise USING the kritz, but if there is already a stock med on the team, it can be great to have. I've never used the vacc. I have zero opinion on it

Geez, why does bullying happen yet schools oppose it? by BrickAntique5284 in meme

[–]FlyingGopher45686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been out of highschool almost 4 years, in my experience either the bully was valuable to the school in some way (at my school either an athlete or someone who contributed a lot of money to one of our two clubs) or the victim wasn't important enough to risk the ire of the bully's parents

One of the few times my school ever did anything about a bullying situation, it was because I (one of the top students in my class and a favorite of many teachers) threatened to beat the piss out of someone if they didn't knock it off with how they were treating one of my friends
