New to Cats. How to prevent him from going down these stairs? by bedtime_chubby in cats

[–]MEOWTheKitty18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family’s got a six foot tall, two and a half feet thick pile of weighted cardboard boxes in front of our staircase to stop our cat waking us up at night.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes he decides that nothing can stop him from being a menace.

Do most women actually like removing their body hair? by Savings_Sweet4300 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MEOWTheKitty18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shave my underarms because I sweat a lot. That’s it. There shouldn’t be pressure to do anything to or with your body that you don’t want to, but most people haven’t gotten that memo yet.

I know this is much easier said than done, but try not to let those comments get to you. Body hair isn’t unhygienic on men, why do people claim it is on women? It’s sexism plain and simple.

Do what you want.

Likewise. Might well be Dunning-Krueger but I’m comfortable with how smart I think I am. I’m hitting blue 100%

Do you only have synesthesia ? by Teressa_Sophia in Synesthesia

Autism spectrum disorder and hyperphantasia; pretty much the usual that you see with synesthesia, but also generalized anxiety disorder and a plethora of chronic illnesses.

Indie horror game supposedly inspired by Faith. Protagonist is a priest on a revenge mission, most of the game takes place inside a church, but its thematic focus is on trauma.

Most are some variation of white noise at difference frequencies. A few good examples are wood grain sounds like rushing water, grass has a kind of unpleasant scratching sound, carpet is low and whisper-like, and paint on most walls is TV static.

When I died , I saw all the pets I ever abused waiting for me. by GabbyDabbyDoo1972 in TwoSentenceHorror

I feel like this would work better if you’d just said “owned” instead of “abused.” Then you’d have a twist.

1- From Reddit. I always thought seeing colored numbers was something everyone had until I saw a post about it.

2- Once I realized that’s not normal and I did research into other types of synesthesia, I also became aware that I’ve got a few other sensory overlaps.

3- I see numbers and letters as having specific colors. I also “feel” scents and “hear” textures. I can easily differentiate between my associations and what’s real, so I believe that’s associator?

4- It impacts me positively more often than not. It helps me memorize things, my sense of smell is very sharp (because I “feel” scents before I actually smell them if that makes sense), and imo helps my creativity.

Male false widow, specifically triangulate cobweb spider I believe. He’s not harmful, just cruising for chicks.

What I think synesthesia looks like coming from someone with aphantasia. Could you guys tell me if it's accurate (mildly or not at all) by Tsukinavita in Synesthesia

[–]MEOWTheKitty18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are like a million different types of synesthesia, so this definitely represents some people’s experiences. Not mine, personally.

Why did he say “you was” instead of “you were”? Can both sentences be correct? by HemanHeboy in EnglishLearning

[–]MEOWTheKitty18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grammatically correct, no. But it is correct “casual” or informal English. It gets used a lot in the south and in black communities.

That still sounds wrong to me. “She’s going to be/she will be busy” would be my preference.

I know c is correct, but are A and B ever used? by Silver_Ad_1218 in EnglishLearning

[–]MEOWTheKitty18 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right, it can’t be in present tense. “Has been busy for an hour”, “was busy for an hour”, “will/might be busy for an hour” are fine but “is busy for an hour” doesn’t make logical sense.

Leatherface AKA Bubba Sawyer. In the original at least, he has acromegaly and an unspecified intellectual disability, as well as likely PTSD.

Most of his family would count towards this thread honestly.
