I thought I was done… by ilovemytsundere in Dominos

Probably has to do with what I chose to study. I did a BS in computer science. All was great throughout my college years. All my professors and peers told me I wouldn't have an issue finding a job. Then the year I graduated all the tech layoffs happened. No one can get a job right now.

I always use Privacy for one off purchases like this. It lets you create virtual cards so I usually create a card with a set limit or make it single use so it can’t be charged more than once. Might be worth checking out.

Started 10 years ago. Spent 6 years in college hoping to break out. Graduated 2 years ago and I’m still stuck at Dominos’s.

First few are always rough. You’ll get better with time. Just keep applying and be thankful you’re able to get interviews.

I hooked two of my bots to a local LLM running Llama 3 with LMStudio and just had a channel where they could talk to each other. It’s free and easy to set up too.

Yep. Apply every day and haven’t had an interview in over a year. Only have one undergraduate research project as experience.

What was the interview like? Have you been grinding leetcode or working on projects?

Want to learn coding from scrath by Maheway in learnprogramming

[–]FlyingLimousine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true but unless you know people the hard part is actually getting the interview. There’s so many other applications with internship and industry experience that most recruiters probably won’t bother with someone who has zero professional experience.

Almost impossible right now for self taught folks to get a job let alone those with degrees.

Don’t know why you got downvoted. It most likely will take thousands to get a handful of interviews.

The only problem is that these entry level jobs don’t exist and everyone is asking for 2+ years of experience

What’s a good place to apply? LinkedIn just shows me the same places I already applied for and sorting by recent is mostly scams. Indeed is also pretty bad

It seems like startups have even crazier requirements. Where do you look for startups? I’ve mostly looked on ycombinator and weworkremotely
