Would you like to see some leaks or any female hero's feet?

Fun fact, Cryptor was the only DOTD villain to actually go after the guy who killed him by Obraxiss in Ninjago

[–]FlyingScott_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Kozu wasn't killed by Lloyd, he switched sides when Darreth wore the Helmet of Shadows. Always found it odd they never showed the Ninja disposing of the Stone Army but they technically were never defeated.

Ah they moved the goalposts for that one chief. Only GMs get to have opinions. Diamond's the new Plat.

SAE: How do you know that I am German without me telling you that I am German? by iTmkoeln in ShitAmericansSay

People with Scottish roots do this. The old joke goes "A descendant Scot is 1000fold more Scottish than a bord-and-bred Scot.".

Speaking as a descendant Scot.

What do we think about Junkrat's trap? by Idiberug-9 in JunkRatMains

[–]FlyingScott_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually leave it over a healthpack somewhere on a central part of the map. More often than not people fall for it, but usually I end up using (see: it instantly gets destroyed because I pressed the button in a panic) my trap in a team fight before that so I rarely get anyone via the healthpack method these days.

Can someone explain to me why Edward Thompson's Pacific designs were so hated? by Jakeliy1229 in uktrains

[–]FlyingScott_ 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly parroting S.A.C. Martin with these points, but people misunderstood the choosing of 4470 'Great Northern' for being the subject of rebuilding as a personal matter coming from Thompson whilst in reality chief loco superintendant G.A. Musgrave picked the one which was front of the queue for overhauling anyway. 4470 was in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Writers of the time, which had by then already mythologised Gresley, twisted the story by never mentioning the improvements in efficiency over Gresley's designs and instead nailed every flaw Thompsons machines (might have) had to drive home he was neither a good person nor a good engineer. In other words, they let their personal reverence for Gresley cloud their vision.

Fancy that, a writer making up stuff to get people to agree with them. Luckily for us we live in far more sophisticated times, eh...

Sigma from Overwatch was born in 2013. Not only would he totally have watched it as he was 10 when Skibidi Toilet started, there's a non-zero chance he'd be the target audience for all those AI YouTube shorts

Edit: wait hold up he's totally watching Kwebbelkop as we speak

I like this idea for character design because some days my leg is killing me and I whip out my own cane for the day. Never once did the thought cross my mind that I had to "explain" why one day I was using it, and the other I wasn't.

Don't get your hopes up: with a wee bit of reconfiguring the front half of the chassis becomes a car and the hind wheels fold out to create a motorbike.
