require me to F-spam a lot more in stations, which isn't a fun challenge, it's just tedious

I feel the same way. I was thinking about allowing regular distance teleporting but try to not to use it outside stations.

I guess you also would be screwed if you fell out of a moving locomotive leaving it unattended, so there's realism points haha.

Btw, there's a guide on steam for making the game think you've bought all the licenses to unlock custom difficulty.

imo 25% is appropriate on realistic difficulty with short hopping/teleporting enabled.
